Thrilled that you found your way back to your TT Family! You come across as very empowered, matter of fact and sure of your decision - a fait accompli.
Best wishes for your new direction and warmest thoughts for you in those difficult moments.
Even though the flight attendant dream was short-lived, you DID fulfil it! That is a whole lot more than most in life!
Chin up and we look forward to your posts, as and when!
Cheers,
Vim

Lisa! How funny, I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. How very sad to see the end of many of things that made up your life, but good to see that you know that those "things" were NOT your life. You have so many new doors to open yet. I like the phoenix metaphor quite a bit. Thank you so much for coming back here to share and get some emotional support. I hope you'll continue to stop in. (((BIG HUGS)))

Default And she's off and running...

Just about to shut my computer down and disassemble it to pack it in the car... Two-day drive to West Texas, and then on with the rest of this semi-charmed kind of life, baby!

Wish me luck, guys, I'll be back online as soon as I can...

Travel safe, lovely lady! I look forward to your return. You know, a road trip might be just what you need right now -- clear your head, maybe have a tiny adventure, who knows? Take care of you!

Lisa I MISSED you terribly! I'm so glad to see you posting again.

I'm so sorry to hear about your marriage--please know that you'll be in my thoughts and prayers, honey.

I sure hope that we're able to get together the next time you're through this area--barring no snow, of course!

Now snuggle in, our arms are open wide to hold you!

I immediately went onto your profile page to post a message and now I found this thread Lisa IS back!!!

Welcome home Honey - sorry that it took this event in your life to come back to us but I am glad that we are here for you

Hang tough and keep the chin up

Lisa, I have wondered about you on this particular stone of your path. I've been in that spot of leaving after the fat suit came off and realized I was with someone just so I wouldn't have to be alone.
I left because it's what I had to do in order to do just what you said: put myself first. If you don't put YOU first, then you've got nothing to give anyone else.
A partner is more than what you have had, and your posts about your efforts to make it work with him were admirable. I respect you for staying and trying. And I'm sorry that he didn't change.
But you did. Frankly you broke the vow, the one to be content (aka fat and down on the farm). But you've got your wings now right? And they belong to you baby. So fly, and know that when you land you will be happier than you can imagine (but I think you've got a darn good imagination of how much better it will be).
I'm three years out from leaving my marriage of fat love. I made the right choice. Now that you've tried (that's all you can do) I wish you as much if not more joy and success as I have found. And woman, you wouldn't believe all the things that have happened since I chewed out of that coccoon!
Bless you on your journey, and I'm glad to know I'll see you around here
Your friend,
Phoenix

So glad to see you, Lisa!

Life is a journey, not a destination -- and I'm so proud of you for finding the strength to move forward. It takes strength and courage and commitment. You go, girl!
