Default Here we go ... again

We saw the oncologist yesterday and told the results of Nisa's bioposy last week - "inconclusive", meaning they found more micro-calcification's.. It's like were back to square one. They arranged for, and she had an MRI that afternoon. We could get the results tomorrow.

Now, she does have to go back for more surgery, that's a definate. We just don't know if it will be another lumpectomy, or a mastectomy. Once all this is done, she will still need the six weeks radiation. She's so afraid of needles, and so tired of the pain she shakes just thinking about it.

We were both basket cases last night, but doing better today. Nisa is the type where she get's the emotions out, and by the next day she's ready to fight. I'm very quiet and do things to keep me busy - I've a new hobby learning to draw celtic knots.

My eating has been getting out of hand, but fortunately I've only gained 4 lbs. I know, I shouldn't be gaining anything, but at least I'm not completely over the edge. My pouch does tell me when I've had enough, but do a lot of grazing and eating the wrong things. I know it's stress, and falling back into my old "comfort" habits. I'm keeping a close eye on it. The "old" me would have gained at least 10 to 15 lbs. by now.

On the job side, I had a telephone interview today that I think went well. They will call next week to schedule a personal interview. I have my application in at another place, and will hear back from them next week. I also found a few I will apply for this evening.

So far, were holding, just holding. Nothing's been repossessed yet, and I'm doing my best to keep that from happening, or allow the situation to get that close. At this point I don't really care. I just want Nisa healthy.

Thank you for keeping us (especially Nisa) in your prayers.

Nisa sounds like a strong women...and with you by her side, that's what she needs right now. It's times like these that we really, truly realize what is important in life...having each other, everything else can be replaced. But you and Nisa are still in my prayers that she'll be fine, you'll get a job, and nothing important will be taken from the two of you.

I know...I'm rambling...but keep your chin up and keep plugging away!

Baron, you and Nisa are in my thoughts and prayers. There are so many treatments for breast cancer these days. It doesn't make it any less stressful or scary. Stay strong. DOn't beat yourself up about the weight gain. A good BM and you could lose half that amount! It's good that you recognize bad habits and take steps to get it under control. Try turning to the relaxation techniques that you should have been shown (like deep breathing or meditation) or exercise. The celtic knots sound very nice. Come here to vent and you know you will get the support from us. Sue

Thanks for the update Patrick. I am glad to hear that she is a fighter (and we know that you are). Hugs are great therapy, so make sure to give her lots of them and take a few for yourself when you need them.

Our thoughts are with you.

Oh Patrick, so sorry to hear Nisa has to go through all that stuff again. She is one lucky lady to have you by her side to support her through all this.

It is good that you are keeping aware of your eating habits and I'm sure you won't let that get out of control.

My prayers are with you both!

Patrick, many good thoughts and blessings to you and Nisa as you deal with this new setback. I'm sorry that the battle is still raging instead of already won, but am so impressed by Nisa's courage as well as yours.
