Default My wife sucks

I'm at my wits end.....
Ive been home now from surgery for a week and a half. I've stayed out of her way, i've done a ton of housework, I hole myself up in my man-cave, I try not to make messes, I don't say boo to her unless i'm spoken to......and still I keep getting yelled at, and for what, nothing. I simply say...Hey Tammie, and I get "WHAT!!!!!" back in my face....as if i've been whining for her for hours or something, and thats not the case.
What sucks more about this is that she has had this f'ing surgery, and knows what i'm going thru. She actually resents that I've had it too...like it was something only she could have, and now cannot have it as her own personal thing. I dont get it.
SHe's home this week on school vacation. I've already been told by her, that she is used to me being at work on these vacations, and having me around puts a cramp in that, and that I should understand her not being pleased with me around.......hello????? I'm your husband, did you not marry me cuz' you like me, and i'm ok to have around????
This moring at 7a, the dog came in our room and was wuffling for something, I nudged her, to find out if he's been let out....and again, I got yelled at for waking her up. I was then told that If I only left the house for a few hours, everything would be ok. I complied, and left in the car...well, at this point driving isnt that comfortable, and so I came back....I'm now sitting here writing this, and feeling really lousy that my spouse is such a s@$thead.......
This sucks.....

Aww Scott.. I'm really sorry she's not being supportive to you when you need it.. it really DOES suck...

I wish I had something better for you.. at this point, your first responsibility is to your healing, and if driving around for hours because she needs alone time hurts, then tough.. tell her she can be the one to leave, she's got two legs.

Sheesh - that is pretty rough considering she knows what your going though and all. I am really sorry you're being treated like that. Have you tried approaching her to talk about of calmly and rationally? Maybe you could suggest counseling so that it could be discovered whats bothering her and that steps could be taken to rectify it?

In either case ((hugs)) - I wish you the best - remember that you're still healing, so take care of you right now, okay?

Scott I dunno what to say. I am sorry that she is not being understanding considering that she knows what you are going through. Sounds to me like it may be a little jealousy. You are going to be getting attention and noticed for losing weight and that might take away from her.

Sounds to me like she is a little bitchy about you possibly stealing her post GBP thunder. I would sit her down and have a heart to heart before it got even more out of hand. You live in the house too, she should not be making it unbearable for you. Good luck with it us women can be a handful.

WOW ... maybe she is just mad that you might do better than she does... but really if she loves you she should be taking care of you .. Thats crazy .. she is the one that is well... tell her to take a walk or something... sounds to me there is an underlying reason and you might want to find out what it is.....

and I am sorry she is treating you this way right after surgery .....

Scott, my wife's been so damn supportive it hurts like hell to hear what's going on in your house. I agree--be calm, don't let it get escalated (even if she tries to hook you) but talk it out. Has she re-gained since she had it? What's she got such a bug up her butt about? Could you take some protein drink and go to a movie? I mean, in a perfect world YOU should not have to make allowances for HER....and of course, don't drive if you're taking Loritab or other pain stuff....Anyway, I feel for you and if you need to vent here, vent away. Send me a Private message if you prefer.
