It appears that different doctors have different protocols. Also, if a person needs to lose more weight before surgery, they will put them on liquids sooner. I noticed that some insurance companies require a 6 month diet prior to approval, but mine did not. However, since Sunday I can only have 3 protein drinks and loads of water daily because he wants me to lose 10 more pounds before surgery.

Hi, I am having my surgery in Asheville on July 14th. Can anyone tell me when the next support group is in Asheville and where it is at now? Thanks!

Good luck! I'm glad I only have to do a pre-op diet for one day.
