Default Help

Hello

I don't know if anyone remembers me or not, but I was active here last year. I had a DS done in June, and have had nothing but problems since then. No one seems to know what is causing my pain, and as a result of this, I have been depressed, and have starting gaining weight again!

I have no idea where to go what to do, or who to talk to.

I NEED HELP

Keith

OMG! Good to hear from you! There have been threads started of us looking for you ... Sorry you aren't reporting back with better news.

Where are you located? Can your surgeon refer you onto someone with more experience than he? I wouldn't stop asking and BEGGING the medical world for help until I was better.

GOOD LUCK and please! Keep Posting!

Katie

I have been here lol

was in the hospital 4 times since my last posting, all for stomach pain, and strictures in my throat.

I have seen many doctors, and not a one of them can find what is causing the pain... So I gave up, went back to my old friend FOOD

Now gained back 20 pounds, and Im just so tired of it. I called my surgeon, but he left the hospital, and is now in Fl. He did send me a bill just the other day for ( get this ) $130,741.78!!!

That is NOT a typo

I called the hospital, and told them they will not see 1 penny from me until this pain issue is fully resolved.
So, I am waiting for the new surgeon to call me back.

I really don't know why I posted here again, I mean, I'm glad I did, but I have no idea why I did.

I dont know whats gonna happen here, but I just can't keep doing nothing.

So, that's my story.... for now anyway

Hi Keith

So glad you are back - we have been worried about you. Just wish it was under better circumstances.

Wow, you really have been through a tough time haven't you? Something just seems completely amiss to me - by your stats you have lost around 70lbs and put 20lbs back on - that just can't be right surely? I'm no expert on the DS for sure but I thought it was supposed to be even more successful than RNY?

I'm sure you already are but I would seriously be demanding some answers from my surgeon and sure as heck wouldn't be paying any bills until the problem was resolved.

I don't know what support I can offer you but I'm here if you need anything at all. We loved having your company on the board before and we welcome you back with open arms again.

xxx

I'm glad you've posted again Keith although I was upset to see that you were still struggling with some problems. I find it unconscionable that they'd let you suffer for so long - and where's the follow-up support???

Keith - hang in there. Someone will come along with suggestions/advice to get you back to where you need to be...hugs

i would just seek out another surgeon and explain the circumstances and see what they can tell you. I'm so sorry your going thru this and shocked by the weight gain, can you do the 5 day pouch test? I'm no expert on DS either.
