Oh hunny I am so sorry for you. This is so frusterating. What went wrong? Can they tell you why they want to post pone it?Can you apeal the decision? Once insurance aproves it it should be up to your doc to set the date not to them. For me they did the oposite and said aproved as long as it was performed within a month of the aproval but if not then I would have to go through and get a new aproval.

I would call them and tell them about your husband's situation and that you've spent weeks preparing for home health and such and that changing you now is going to cause a lot of heartache and time that you can't afford to take.

If that doesn't work, post their phone number and we can all call on your behalf. I can be quite persuasive and manipulative. I watched "The Godfather" this weekend, and I'm listening to all metal music at the gym. I'm ready to kick some ass, Katie, and I'll be glad to start with anybody who's messing with you!

*Nobody messes with my Toony! Nobody!

I could make them an offer that they can't refuse.

I'm with Mike - call the insurance Company and tell about your DH. Can you get your surgeon to bring some pressure on them too!

Big hugs Katie - I feel your pain and anger.

It's not so much the insurance co... the team didn't have their letter in hand, so they gave my date away to another patient... I faxed MY copy of MY letter to them today... waiting for someone to call me back... I think they're all avoiding me...

I'm more than pissed... and DH called --- he's going to need 6 weeks of IV - and Home Health won't be covered... so he can go to a nursing home, or drive in each day... there is NO WAY he'll go to a nursing home...

BUMMER DAY for both of us!!!

sitting in a puddle of my own tears...

I would give you a hug via the net if I could. I am so sorry to hear about all this. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help.
