Smile WLS sister needs our prayers

You guys I just read about this lady on obesityhelp. Okay 1, 2, 3... Care Bear Stare... start praying her and her family needs us! Here is a copy of the story. Post Ops, never ignore symptoms ever..... there is mild discomfort, but never pain.

Terri Lynn underwent surgery on Tuesday, 3/22/05. She had no post op complications until Wednesday morning, a day after surgery. Teri Lynn was cleared to be moved to a surgical floor. She had gone for a walk in ICU but complained of pain. Her nurse told her to return to bed and use her pain pump. She got back into bed under own power but the nurse said she didn't look good and left the room to report this to the staff. When the nurse returned she found Teri Lynn passed out cold at 9:53 am on Wednesday morning, 3/23/05. The staff spent 15 minutes trying to revive her before placing her on a ventilator. Her family was notified to get to the hospital. There is no medical explanation for the coma. No blood clot, no heart attack, no abdominal leak. There have been a team of medical specialists examining Teri throughout the day.

3/23 11:58 pm Update:

Teri Lynn is showing a promising sign.

Her nurse said her pupils are now reacting which means she is hanging in there! They weren't reactive when she was coded and became comatose.

Teri Lynn is under phenobarbital which is preventing her from going into seizures. She remains in a coma but her condition has stabilized.

She will undergo more tests in the morning.

Please keep Teri Lynn in your thoughts and prayers.
************************************************** *****
3/24 5:00 am Update:

Terri Lynn's condition remains the same since midnight. Her temperature has subsided and she remains stable, albeit still comatose.

Visiting hours begin again at 8:30 am.

Teri Lynn's surgery page for your prayers and support:

Please pray for Teri Lynn's speedy recovery as well as for her family during this difficult time.

Start your praying people she makes it okay. I dont know her personally, she is here in California in the OC..... she's a sister thats all that matters.
