Default Pray for me

Hey everyone.

I'm getting baptized and accepting first communion on Saturday (converting to Catholicism so I can raise my daughter in the Catholic faith).

Pray that I don't break the baptismal font. I don't think my church has experience in baptising people my size. They expect me to fully immerse myself

How many Hail Mary's is breaking the baptismal font anyway?

You are too much! Way to go on getting baptizied! Hallelujah

Now do us a favor will ya, when your all dripping wet, take a pic. Its going to be an absolute joy to revisit that pic in anther year!

When I was baptized it was done in a really big pool and not only did I outweigh the pastor I was at least a good 5 inches taller than him as well. He just put his hand on the back of my head and on my chest or arm... and then guided me as I leaned back... a lean back, a lean back... lol Thats what I remember about my experience... you'll do fine, just dont go crazy and do somersaults under water... they frown on that! have fun!

You crack me up!! I would say 100 Hail Mary's should work. I was also a BIG girl when I got baptized, but I did it in the bay, so there was no way I was breaking anything.....lol

My church uses this font that is basically a bathtub mixed with a coffin. I don't know how else to describe it

I'm sure Stacey (my wife) will take pictures. My dad, who isn't Catholic and wouldn't step foot in a church unless it was to play bingo is even coming. I'm just nervous about the wine. I hate the stuff and I have to drink some infront of like 1000 people on Saturday. I don't want to grimmace.

Rob, you are hilarious! This reformed Catholic girl will dust off her rosary and say a few Hail Mary's for you!

Congrats on your spiritual journey!

In all seriousness, it has been a blast.
The classes were very informative, and I found myself starting to enjoy church again... I haven't enjoyed going since my Great Grandmother died over 10 years ago.

I hope those of you who haven't been to church in a while decide to start going. Not only do I have a support group here online, but I have over a thousand of people praying for me here at home. It is a great feeling

Congratulations! welcome to the faith! I'm a cradle catholic so I don't remember my baptism, but I am sure you will do fine. The wine is awful! After this you can just take the host and skip the wine if you want to. That's what my girls and I do! I'll be thinking of you Saturday!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY!!!!

Rob...I have to say something serious to you.
You are a wonderful husband, father & friend.
The Church is blessed that you are going to be a part of their lives.
Congratulations.
PS...I have a question.
The dishwasher's monkey is purple?
