Default Read this for inspiration

I read this on my Starbuck's coffee cup and wanted to share it will all of you.

The world bursts at the seams with people ready to tell you you’re not good enough. On occasion, some may be correct. But do not do their work for them. Seek any job; ask anyone out; pursue any goal. Don’t take it personally when they say “no” – they may not be smart enough to say “yes”

Default Dale!!!!!!

OMG Dale you have me in tears right now. Thank you.. THANK YOU!!!!!!!! for that.

I wish I had seen it yesterday.

My boss wasn't really talking to me much yesterday after I had told him the day before that I would be out. The only thing he had to say about that is that he hoped I knew he wouldn't be paying me while I was out.. Well, DUH!! I said you don't have to pay me, because I will be on Disability!! He said well, you may be able to collect from Disability but you may not. I asked him why he thought that. He said well, they may not pay if you have an elective proceedure. I then told him that my Gastric Bypass was an elective proceedure. He said well good luck. I then told him that I was having two medically necessary proceedures and if they weren't medically necessary my Insurance certainly would not cover them. Therefore, I will be on disability and he could kiss my butt!

Well, yesterday.. I was getting ready to leave and I said.. "so you are really p%$$#d off at me aren't you?" He said "why do you think that?" I told him "well, you haven't said more than 2 words to me today" He said "I just don't understand why you are wanting to have all of this surgery done if you are just going to be in the same place in a year anyway?" "What place is that?" I asked. He then said "Back to being fat, you know you will gain all of your weight back" Of course this ticked me off.. I said "Why do you say that?, what makes you think that I will gain all of my weight back?" He then told me that he knew a girl who had this done a few years ago and regrets her decision and she gained all of her weight back. Then I told him that just because he knew ONE person who gained all of her weight back, and by the way that is WHY she regrets having the surgery doesn't mean that I lack the focus and discipline it takes to make this surgery a success! I was ticked! He then told me.. and this is what really made me boil.. "Well you don't have the discipline it takes either." I asked him what that meant, and if he has seen me stuffing my face like before.. I also asked if she had ever gotten down to her goal, his friend that is. He said no she never did so it was a waste.. and he said that the reason he said I didn't have the discipline it took to be successful is because if I did have it, I wouldn't have been fat in the first place!!!!" Can you believe that crap!!! I am still ticked off about that.

I told him he was ignorant and basically F - U and walked to the back patio and paced and took deep breaths because it really ticked me off. I mean the nerve of some people.. small minds I tell you.. I can't wait to leave this company.. Ya'll know I am NOT coming back after my plastic surgery don't ya?? Even if they do hold my job for me.. not going to do it..

Basically.. long story short Dale.. that was perfect.. I love it.. and I am printing it and posting it on my wall.. hope they enjoy it.. lol

Default Christina,

I am so happy to hear that you will be leaving that toxic environment! I can't believe you've put with their crap for as long as you have. No one should be treated like they treat you. I think some of the stuff is illegal.

Hang in there! Sending calming thoughts your way!

Thumbs down Illegal Harrassment

Sweet Christina...

Your "boss" is harassing you. That is illegal behavior in the workplace.

Document his past & present behavior with dates, times, what he said and how he made you feel when he said those horrible things to you. Your posts here can be part of that process.

Also...talk to your PCP & possibly a therapist about his harassment. Tell them how, over time, he has made it impossible for you to return to that job. Ask for their help.

Why did you stay at that job? Has his behavior made you afraid to apply for other jobs? If it has, let the right people know about that too. Document, document, document.

When you are recovered from your surgery... STOP HIM FROM EVER HARASSING ANYONE AGAIN. Report him to the proper agencys. Get a good attorney, who will take your case on a contingency basis and go after him & his company. By doing this, you will save someone else from suffering the humillation that he has forced on you and ----YOU WILL TAKE BACK YOUR POWER FROM THAT CREEP.

((((Hugs))))

Thanks for all of the advice. I may just do that. But pretty much I want to leave here and still be able to use them as a reference. My past 5 years of working experience is HERE so I can't just leave them on bad terms you know? I did talk to HR and tell them that if they kept harrassing me they would have a law suit on their hands as I pretty much have to take Xanax to deal with their sorry butts!

She was like wow!! I could tell she was nervous. I just want OUT.. ya know?? I want to be FREE!!!!!!!
