Smile Friendships Made On This Forum

I would like to share my story wih you all about Joanne I have meet through this forum.

I think that since meeting jo I have started to see that there are real people out there that want to support and be what we call TRUE FRIENDS.

I have spent my whole life around people who do nothing but put me down and say it is for my own good.?????

Well since Joining the forum I have found out what real friends are and how much total strangers are able to show such care and thought towards people who have the same life problems. It has also taught me to show more compassion towards otherr people.

My life before coming onto this forum was about eating and feeling unhappy...... Now through the support and care of people I have never met and through the new friends I have met I feel that 2008 will be a much better year for me and my family.

I would like to just wish everyone a HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE UK.

My heartfelt thanks to all of those people that have been in touch with me and made me feel like human again But My thoughts are also with those who are just starting with their ops and bands.

take care Dianne

One last comment... when my husband died 11 years ago I thought I would never met such a kind a caring person in this life time again... but on here there are many of those people who are willingto give their time up to help other people.

Dianne,
Thank you for thanking. Indeed, we are in this World always in such a hurry to criticise and seldom take the time to simply say Thank You. I too feel the wonderful warmth of everyone who is on this Forum - those who signed up were apparently prepared and genuine about being dedicated for this outlet - the others just remained visitors...
Happy 2008!
Cheers!

Hi Dianne... I love being a part of this family --- even more fun having an international flair! We're all alike, the world around... and TT is making this a warm and cozy place to share our common journey!

Christmas hugs for all!

Smile Met Joanne

Hello everyone

I met jo from the forum again yesterday we had a day out in Nottingham shoping and having lunch. This was the first time I have had a girlie day out in my 48 year and I loved it.

Jo met me with her lovely daughter and we both got the train and met in the station like a movie lol

I think without this forum this wonderful friendship would never have happened.

I have started getting cards from the USA and would like to say a huge thank you and hope next year to be able to send some when my money or the postage has been reduced a little.

HAve a good day not long now until the feast and we will all have a different one to the normal. LAst year I ate everything in site and this year will be very different.

take care Dianne

Wishing a Happy Christmas and an amazing New Year to you too!!!! You are so right about the many people here who sincerely care about each other!

Your post comes at a time when there is a little drama playing out in a few posts and reminds us that this is a pretty amazing place full of pretty amazing people.

The holidays seem to bring out a lot of stress and people in our lives, at work, and even in this forum, can get a little testy with each other. We are a family and sometimes families fight, but when it comes down to it, that family will stand together against anything or anyone.

Families become stronger by working through their differences, swallowing their pride and apologizing, or simply just agreeing to disagree.

I am very happy to be part of your family and to have you (all) as part of mine.

I cannot tell you how excited I am for the new year and the continuation of our new lives!

Happy Holidays!!!
-Mike-

Smile Great new Gwen

I can not believe all the lovaly replies I have had to this post.

I think that anyone planning to have this operation should come on here and find out what true friendship is all about.

If ever I have the money to travel to the USA I would love to meet up with a few people. Beth has been such a great inspiration to me as have many others but when you see so many people always trying to support others you just feel like you know them without meeting them.

I think christmas is all about being with family and for me apart from christmas day i wont be seeing anyone so will pop on here to post a few emails and see if anyone is like me this time of year.

THANK YOU TO THE PEOPLE ON THE FORUM FOR MAKING THE DIFFERENCE TO MY LIFE AND KEEPING ME IN MIND.

take care Dianne
