Kind of bummed
Hey partners! I am srtuggling with a very difficult issue right now.... criticism from just about EVERYBODY that I am too thin. I keep getting asked when will I stop? Am I trying to loose more? I was told that I look like an aneroxic person, with sightly bones protruding from my back.
After the aneroxic comment I jumped on the scale and saw that in the past 2 weeks I lost another 3 pounds! WTF?! How do I make this stop? I dont know what to do... I am feeling very self concicious (sp?) about my body now.... I feel as though Im gonna turn inside out! Im so scared..... any suggestions? I am very thin now..... I feel as if I really am TOO thin. Help me n stuff!
Im still eating 5 times a day and hve implemented some carbs, like a bagel for breakfast instead of cheese and bacon. What's a girl to do?

First of all, don't worry about what others think. You need only worry about what you think. I know it is hard to do, trust me I do know. I should really do what I say huh? Anyway as far as the weight loss goes, I think this is typical. We all have the ability to go under goal, but within a year or two we usually gain back 15 - 20 lbs.. so be thankful that you are under for now. That way if and when you do gain those few pounds back you will look great and feel great. Until then don't stress. I don't think you look anorexic at all. I think you look great! What you could do to help yourself out is get out and get some much deserved exercise. That should help you tone up (Not that you need it, just sayin) and increase your muscle strength and build a strong core.
That should also help you gain back a couple of pounds of muscle. I know again, I am one to talk huh? LOL Just tryin to help ya sugar pea.. you know I love ya!! But seriously, I don't think you look anorexic at all. I think you look .. if you can believe it.. NORMAL!! WOW!! You're awesome my friend. Don't be so hard on yourself.. I know right?

Gidget,
I'm so sorry you're feeling bummed about what other people are saying. I know it hurts - we've all been there, well, not ever to thin, but on the other side of that.
Eat a sandwich chicken! Where are those mentos? You know I love you and want you to be happy and healthy. Check with Callery's office to see what they suggest.
I think you look amazing!

thanks Gals!
So ya think exercise would be good huh? Im afraid to burn more calories thus resulting in more weight loss. As it is for my height and current weight I need to ben on a 1800 calorie diet to maintain.... I could imagine burning more n stuff. So bulking up maybe huh? Do long term post ops usually gain back some? When does that occur? When does your body know when to stop? Prior to surgery I asked 2 different surgeons including Dr C that very question, how does it stop. It was explained to me like you have muscle mass and bone mass and your body wont lose more fat than it has to, to portect it naturally... to support the weight of the muscle and bone. Does that make sense? I just want to know when too much fat loss is to bad.....
Who in the world would ever think I would have this problem? LOL

Don't worry.......be HAPPY
Bridget you are beautifull. Don't listen to what other people tell you. As long as you are happy with you that's all that matters. They're more than likely a little jealous of you because you are ONE HOT MAMA!!

Its frustrating ya know?
I mean I feel great, when I lay down... boy am I skinny..... but otherwise I feel okay about things. Its just hard when day in and day out, I hear negative things about my appearance and so then I look into the mirror and stare for too long trying to see what they see... and then I worry... its kind of abusive I guess, all the negativity in the work place, considering Im here the greater amount of my life! You know what I mean? Can ya feel me?
When you keep hearing bad, all day, everyday you tend to believe it. How in the heck do I begin to tell my boss and co workers and the parents at Isaiah's school enough is enough with the comments? Do I even need to warrant their compliants? THEIR MONKEYS? Its just utterly frustrating, I just want people to leave my NARROW ass alone. lol
Stace: stuff with E is progressing nicely, if he keeps it together he will be home on Tuesday! Now I just hope he can keep it together..... overall I feel great, not depressed or anything, just irritated. It was always my own philosphy which i have instilled in my own kids that, "If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all." I know right?

With all that is going on in your world, no wonder you are stressed. You need to give yourself a facial and relax. Do you even know how to relax? I know when I was doing yoga and pilates religiously I was feeling better about my mind and body.. maybe I should start doing that again too. It's a thought. I am so sorry about your Son. I know that has to be difficult. I just don't have the words to express my deepest sorrows that you are going through that. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Son.
Love ya girlfriend..

Supermodel
Bridget:
First of all, YOU'RE NOT TOO SKINNY! You look absolutely stunning. I keep telling you (and you don't believe me) that you look like a SUPERMODEL!
The reason people who see you all the time tell you that you're too skinny is because they're so used to seeing you at 280+ lbs. Comparatively, you ARE skinny!
My psychiatrist recommended that I take lots of pictures and LOOK AT THEM to get my brain to accept the "new" me. You need to continue doing the same thing. The two pictures you just posted are beautiful. You look like Heidi Klum! And, my dear, Heidi Klum is NOT TOO SKINNY!
Love you bunches...you beautiful broad!
