I was thinking of you this morning, Linda. Be strong girl. We're in this together.

Default Thanks so much...

To everyone who posted--Debbie, Mike, Claire, Simone, Jeri, and Jessie.

Debbie, you really captured that feeling of being cheated of a normal parent-child relationship. Thanks for putting into words what I have been feeling for so long.

Mike, thanks for the kind words and the prayers. Got your PM. Look for a reply.

Claire, I wish I had a mother like you. I bet you're a wonderful mom.

Simone, I am working on doing exactly what you're talking about. Mourning my sister and getting to a healthy place.

Jeri, thanks for letting me know you're thinking of me.

Jessie, my little sister and I always marvel at how we turned out despite our parents and give ourselves little pats on the back.

Thank you so much for the love and support. It has helped me immeasurably during this time, and I feel pretty strong right now. Bless you all.

Linda,
Now you have to think about you focus on your OP, get surrounded only by people who understand and love you. And if you stop any contact, avoid opening the letters, this will definitely help you and leave some space in your brain thinking about how you will re-bluid yourself (sorry for my poor english it is not my mother tongue).
We have also in our family similar situations with my fathers mum: my mum and dad married in a church alone, only with the witness (all and all they were 5 with the priest), and locked the church avoiding the mother-in-law to come and destroy the celebration. THe next day my parents flew away abroad in an other country, where they finally stayed away from her and somehow in peace.

I am terribly sorry for your sister !! She is now with the angels.

Take really care

Thank you, Marine, for your support, and your English is very good.

After talking about this with friends, in therapy and on this forum, and getting so much love and support, I feel great right now. I feel I can face this surgery and do whatever I have to do.

My sister tell me my mother has calmed down somewhat and is sorry she wrote me that letter. I will probably see her this weekend--we'll see how it goes.
