Talking New Exercise!

It's been a while since we had the "things I love about myself" exercise. Here's a new one that's expanding the topic a bit - daring ourselves to dream!

"In a relaxed and easy manner, play the game of 'wouldn’t it be great if . . . ' for 5 minutes at the start and ending of your days. Fill in the end of the statement with as many scenes as you can using words and phrases that are as rich and real as possible. Exercise your creative muscles of imagination."

If you are finding that the results of your reflection are the similar each day, commit the possibility by posting it here. I know it's scary, but it just may get you used to the idea of dreaming, and achieving, big!

Here's my recurring thought:

"Wouldn't it be great if I were to finally say adieu to this non-profit nonsense (poor resources, 'saving the world' is thankless, hard work) and return to my love of art? I could get a job (to pay the bills) in a related field (art education, museum, gallery, etc.) and reconnect with my passion and start painting and showing again. I could have a gallery show before the end of the year and get my act together to apply for the Master of Fine Arts degree."

Now, it's out there in the universe - who knows, maybe I'll actually act on it?!

Exclamation Wow

I've been re-reading a lot of old posts trying to put things together in one spot for a book idea that a friend of mine has encouraged me to get to work on. I read this, and my jaw dropped open... See what happens when you allow yourself to dream?
