Default Inspirational Poem for 2/23/05 for Sandi :)

This is a special poem that I wanted to post for my dear sweet friend Sandi and all of the great people here on this forum.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than

It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
Whe he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -

The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Thumbs up honk honk!

I dont know what's going on, but I can tell you that was VERY sweet Dale.

Along those lines, a friend from this forum shared with me (if y'all remember) you cant always have good days... stinks I know, but rest assured (who ever deems this applicable) there are brighter tomorrows!

Honk, Honk to all my fellow geese!

"People will argue with you that getting what you want in life isn’t something you can learn, if you’re destined to be one of the worlds winners as opposed to one of its perpetual whiners, its because you have been born with the right talents and temperament and have a big dose of self-esteem, ambition, and good judgment." There are no words that can express how you've touched my heart with this...
I'm SO lucky to have you as my podmate~ I wish everybody could know the closeness that having a really terrific podmate is, we've said from the very beginning that we were "groove sista's", and you know the feelings I'm having before even "I" do...
Thank you my sweet friend, I love you my "Ethiopian" sista

Dale that poem was awseome, and so encouraging. I'm going to print it out, and hang it where I can see it everyday at work.

I just saw this poem, I don't know how I missed it. I am so touched by this, and I yearn for a closeness of someone that knows what I am going through. My husband is wonderful and spoils me rotten, but he doesn't know what makes me tick, he can't comprehend what drives me. "He knows everything about me, but doesn't know me at all." (Bon Jovi).

I think you are so lucky to have found a Kindred Sprit. I have my soul mate, but I don't have a Kindred Spirit. Hold on to that girls, because when I am all alone in my journey, I don't have anyone to cling to. I think you have both done an amazing job. Keep it up.

Sandi, you rock g/f. I finally had a diet pepsi slurppee, so as not to have anymore nightmares. Oh did I love that, thank you for that treat, I must say though it wasn't quite the same at the bottom, lol.

Hugs,

Traci

Sandi,
I AM the lucky one! You hold me together my friend. I am truly blessed to have found you. I knew there was a reason you were scheduled for surgery the day before me. God works in mysterious ways.

Love ya back my friend. Eithiopia, here we come!!!
