Default Sorry for your loss

When we hear and see so many instances of animals being mistreated by people, it's comforting to know that Wesley had so much love and care in his life.

From your posts it's clear that you are a wonderful mama to your furbabies and although Wesley is gone, he felt love and care from you and your husband. I'm sure you and your husband were equally fortunate to have had him in your lives.

Big hugs to you and his pals.

Claire, I can't help but cry tears of sadness with you. I love my three furbabies and can't even imagine how it would hurt to lose one. They are "human" to me and my family. They are a part of the family just like the rest of us. I'm so sorry.....

I'm so sorry, Claire. Like the rest of us, I know what it is to lose a pet, too. They are so much more than "animals" - they are our friends, our children. our companions. Take time to mourn. You and the other furbabies need that time.

Hugs to you all!

Carol

Thank you so much, everyone. We loved him intensely, and he adored us, particularly me. I was his human. And everything I do and I see here at home reminds me of him.

It's crushing....but my little Lhasas need me, and want their deserved attention and love. Which I give to them freely. Bless them, we comfort each other.

We will be ok. Wesley will live forever in our hearts. He was so young, it is so incomprehensible that he would be the one to go first of the three. But that is the way it is supposed to be. I'm getting to the point of acceptance, but a big part of me longs for him.

Default I'm soo sorry

Oh Claire sweetie, I know what you're going through as I've lost many fur babies over the years. I received this poem from a friend when I lost my beloved cat, Desirea

Don't Grieve Too Long

Don't grieve too long for now I'm free
I've followed the path God set for me
I ran to him when I heard his call
I wagged my tail and left it all.
I could not stay another day
to bark, to love, to romp or play
games left un-played must stay that way
I found such peace it made my day
My parting has left you with a void,
so fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, your laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I to shall miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life's been full,
you've given so much
your time, your love and gentle touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your ear and share with me
God wanted me. He set me free.

Thank you for the poem. I have printed it out, and hung it on the wall.
