Oh Claire,
I'm so sorry your little love is going through this.
My mom has 3 dogs (I guess they're replacing my 3 brothers haha) and if it's not right with them, it's not right with the world.
I hope you get things under control for Wesley and he has a long (spoiled) life.
xoxo

To all of you who have expressed concern and prayers for my Wesley, both here in this thread and in PMs, first accept my thanks.

I am very sad to tell you that my beautiful Wesley, the little clown who was so sweet and gentle, went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday.

His organs began failing, and a heart attack finally took him. Fortunately, I went to see him in the morning, and when I did, I knew it was time to say good bye. He looked at me with empty eyes, he didn't know me. His usual furiously wagging tail didn't move. His beautiful soul had already left his body. I knew it was over.

The vet had hope at that point, but the subsequent heart attack put the period to the end of his life.

Here he is, last week, in his favorite spots....

He was a beautiful tri-color 14 lb. shih tzu/pomeranian mix. He was only 4 and a half years old. We adopted him from a rescue group two and a half years ago - he had lived the first two years of his life on the streets.

He was very loved by both my husband and myself, and his little Lhasa Apso brother and sister, who continue to look for him.

Michelle, thank you, but don't cry. It's just how life is sometimes. Pets never live long enough. They simply wrap your heart around their paws and take that piece with them.

And by the way, one of his favorite things to do was to play Wheel of Fortune with me on TV. When the wheel would spin, he would throw his little head up in the air and howl. And each spin made him howl louder. That's how much fun he was.

Oh Claire,
I'm so sorry for your loss. How fun was that little guy, Wheel of Fortune indeed! I bet he'll find Merv and get all kinds of new games to play!

I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. I had 2 yellow labradors, 14 & 12 years old, who died within 6 months of each other. It was rough at our home for awhile!

After some time of healing, we got "Josie", a 3 month old Shih Tzu. She's now 6 yrs old. We also got a black labrador, "Eli" who is now 4 yrs old. Our pets bring such joy and laughter to our home.

Wesley will always be in your memories, but I pray your heart heals quickly!

Oh, Claire, I'm so sorry. It's so hard to lose a loved one. I remember when my cat, Moki, died, I kept seeing her out of the corner of my eye for a long time. It sounds like you have beautiful memories of time spent with him and the fun you had.
