Of course you have changed, your body, your mind, your esteem, confidence. You have bloomed, the bud you once were has blossomed into a beautiful flower, reaching for the sun (your goal). You look fabulous.
In fact all of you looked wonderful. I don't know when I have had such a good time. The pictures everyone has posted here really doesn't do any of you justice. You are much better looking in person than your pictures show here.
I loved meeting Dale, (newthindale), after a year and a half I finally met her, an inspiration in my success for sure.
Ed, man oh man, my brave hero to come out on the dance floor with this old grandma, hadn't danced on a dance floor or with a partner in oh I think since I was pregnant with my 18 year old son. Not to mention the noise they called music, if you can dance to that, you can dance to anything. I am looking forward to the next time.
Carol, Rain, Kelly, Jerry, Bridget, beautiful people, sheesh, I can't name all of you, but Tracie, Dara, Melanie(lil bitty thing).
Barbara stood us up though, but was nice to meet her at the meeting.
My pod mate John Johnson, I couldn't recognize him, I asked if anyone knew him he said yes, I thought, I said how is he, he was like, I am him. LOL! Phil, Kim, Pam, Mraor. Karen with her beautiful hair all the way from Az. I could go on, but man, I don't have all day to name names, just know you all looked so wonderful. Oh I cannot forget that beauty Rachel, Suzannes niece. What a lil doll she is! Oh to have that 18 year old body again! Enjoy it Rachel, lol, doesnt last forever.
I love you all,
Traci

Wow what a wonderful, motivating post. Thanks for the compliment. I have to say there was so much negativity in that meeting last night that I could just scream. There are those who think they are "Better" than others and it makes me completely sick. I doubt I will return to a general support group again, I don't feel attacking ANYONE is what support is. I was very disappointed in a few people.
However, I must agree with you.. everyone looked so dang good, including you my friend. I was afraid to hug you, I was afraid I was going to break you. You look absolutely amazing, like you never had a weight problem to begin with. You have done so well.
You are very sweet to post such a nice post about everyone. Thanks for everything.. keep up the great work.

Awwwwwwwwwe Mike,
You looked as beautiful as everyone else, and your hug was absolutely safe and warm and caring. You saved me once, as I told you last night, you are a true hero on this journey, so, even though I am married, I found every man there to be attractive and in tune with sensitivity, something not all men have, in fact very few. I wish you well, but I know you will only do well, because that is what you have done all along. You slipped? You are not the only one. But I posted to you personally so, I see you have other male tendencies, I won't mention them, lol, but YOU HANDSOME HUNK OF MAN YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
Christina, lol at being afraid I might break. I am as tough as nails, and mush on the inside. I found a secret last night, it is called NO NONSENSE CONTROL TOP! Man I am going to buy a ton of those, they sucked in my flab like I haven't seen in the entire journey. I am hooked, I could be a spokesperson for them, I put them on today even with my dang nickers, lol.
I hope to see you again at the meeting, Christina. Please don't do what I have done, I felt so lonely and put down at the one and only meeting I went to in the summer, that I never went back, last night I just let it pass, because I was there for me, because I am at goal, and I have a tendency to snack and over do it, then I also have a tendency to starve myself, I am not good at this, I need you, WE NEED YOU! You are a wealth of support, and, and, and, you fill in the blanks. Oh, and I forgot how to spell your mans name, so just know Stuart, is a lucky man to find a gem like you, and I am pretty sure you are lucky too. You make a cute couple, and happiness and sunshine have only just begun.
Hugs you two,
Traci

OK Traci,
I know who you are and I remember. I have a bad memory or a selective one. I understand about feeling lonley, I feel that everyday. I spend most of my time alone. So, I can relate. Well, enough said on that. Now back to Christine.........lol

Support Groups
Traci,
I will continue to go onto the forum for support, and will possibly go to the East County meetings when possible. I will also attend support groups at Dr. Callery's office. However, I will NOT go to another General Support Group Meeting where I feel as if some people think their s*#t don't stink if you know what I mean. I got nothing out of the meeting but negative vibes from certain people. I am sorry but I don't cosider support putting people down, acting holier than thou, and making rude comments to be cute or funny if that is what you think you are doing. Some people need to check their attitudes at the door as far as I am concerned. But that could be just me. Those who know me, know I am not talking about them either. None of my personal buddies offended me or anyone else.
However, I do feel the general support group maybe does need to be divided or there needs to be an offer for those who are further out or at goal already. Pacific Bariatrics used to have a North County meeting and the first hour of it would be called "back on track" for those who were further out and struggling or whatever. Maybe if they did that then the older post ops would get their issues dealt with in a better way and not have to take it out on the newbies?? Just a thought.
I'm not pointing fingers either.. ya'll know who you are. No need to shame anyone in particular on the board or in person. Just sayin is all.

Chrstina,
I totally agree with you. I thought the support group last night was one of the worst! There were some rude comments made and I am sure some feelings hurt. I feel sorry for the victims of the criticism. I did notice that some people think that their you know what doesn't stink. Support meetings are supposed to be positive and we are supposed to have positive encouragement instead of degrading comments. I know that I have attended more positive meetings in the past. I am glad that Christina is not the only one who noticed this. I thought I was over-reacting with hormones again!
