Unhappy OMG! I just want to crawl into the shower and cry!

I am sooooo stressed out right now. I have major acid reflux going on too. Why??? Because I have a cat that insists on meowing all day long while Shawn is at work. She won't shut up. (Great, forget about the shower for crying in, I'm crying now! ) She sits at the door that goes to the basement and just meows and meows and meows. It drives me crazy. Nothing I do will stop her from meowing. She's a brat while hubby's at work, and once he gets home, she's a perfect angel. I've already had to take an acid reducer pill this morning too. I don't know why I am letting it get to me like it does, but it just does. And I do give her a lot of attention during the day too. I just can't understand why she is like this!

Thanks for letting me vent!

*hugs*

Maybe she wants to be in the basement? Mousies down there? I would be sorely tempted to open the door to the basement, let her go down and then let her stay there till my acid reflux died down. Our boyz played tag all around the bedroom last night, including leaping over the bed multiple times. They are also highly vocal and taunted each other mercilessly....

Ya gotta love 'em.

Default another option....

Put the CAT in the shower to cry. Results would be a very clean, tired cat that would be afraid to piss you off...

Beat me to it Donna.

Plus, the comic relief from seeing a wet cat will chase away the stress lickety split Lori!

But, sorry about the stress. I would suggest maybe putting on some headphones, closing the door to the bedroom and just sit quietly or lay down for a little while, concentrate on the music, and consciously relax your body. Acid reflux is NO fun

Thanks for the advice. I'll remember that for tomorrow.

She's quiet now. Sitting in her window in the living room watching the world going by.

Here's a picture of the brat cat herself:

Yes, she's sitting in the sink. She loves to play with the water when it's running from the tap. She's weird.

Thanks again!

*hugs*

Aww how cute is she. Lori I hope you are feeling better. Is there other things on your plate right now that might be causing the kitty meowing to bother more then usual? Well I am glad she is being a good kitty to you now.

What a cute kitty! It can be nerve wracking when they meow like that! They do pick up on our stress which makes the situation worse for both of you. A trip to the vet may be in order as well. A fish tank virtual or real may calm her as well!
