Can't think of anything that would be causing her to meow more than usual. I think it's just that she's soooo used to Shawn and I both being home. She's generally fine on the weekends, and just acts up when he's away at work. Currently, she's having one of many cat naps up on her cat tree. She also recently growled/hissed at one of the neighbor kids. Oops.

We used to have a fish tank, but got a majorly bad case of ick. None of the fish survived. The tank is still sitting in the corner. Oops. And she is past due for a check at the vet.

To train a cat I use water in a sprayer bottle. They hate being wet (when it isn't their idea anyway) and they are smart.
Good luck! Reflux bites.

Oh Lori, I'm sorry about the tormenting cat...but I've got to say she is adorable looking!!! I'm a major cat lady myself...have 3 of them but I do know how annoying a constant "meow" might be. Luckily mine are on the quiet side...it's the 2 dogs that get on my nerves!!
...loved that site that Tammy sent you too. There were some great pictures on there! Thanks Tammy!!
hehehe...we had this cat once that liked to jump in the shower while you were taking a shower...she would just come in and sit on your feet!! She even liked to sit IN THE TOILET!!! *L* ..and then throw herself down the clothes shoot.... I'm totally serious!! She was one unusual cat.

Our cat loves to come into the bathroom while we're showering and sit on the toilet seat lid. She always climbs into the shower after we're done in there. lol I'm sure that if we left the lids up on the toilets she would crawl in.
I bookmarked the site Tammy listed. Gotta shoe it to Shawn when he gets home from work. He'll probably laugh.
Miss Mew loves to sit up in the bedroom window any time of the day and just look out the window. She then jumps out of the window and lands on the bed.... at night when she does this, she scares the crap out of Shawn. It's quite funny. Whenever she jumps up on the bed, she's always purring.
I feel somewhat better now.... still got the reflux thing going on though. Not fun.
*hugs*

Today was a much better day for Miss Mew. She hardly meowed at all while Shawn was at work. I managed to clean up the rest of the kitchen and mop the floor while she was snoozing on her cat tree. We cuddled a lot this afternoon and she was purring up a storm. Shawn got home about 6:15-ish and all was well when he came inside too. She tried to crawl up his leg while we were eating dinner. She also wanted to JUMP up on the table (bad kitty!!!).
Still have major acid reflux going on. Shawn suggested that I should make arrangements to go see the doc about that. *sigh*
*hugs*

Growing up, we had two cats we raised from kittens who learned to use the toilet just from watching us. No kidding! My mom got up one morning and went to the bathroom only to find one of them already sitting there releiving himself. They just looked at each other, and mom had to wait until he was done. Never could teach them to flush!
