Here are a couple pics of us when we were in Hawaii in March 2006 (Kuai). The one with us(me, my wife Nisa, and our son Sean-only one) at a fern grotto - a cave in the rain forrest. Very peaceful and beautiful. They have weddings there all the time, and can only be accessed by boat.
The second is us standing on the spot at the coconut farm of the resort where Elvis was married in Blue Hawaii.

Yeah, I'm very luck and blessed to have the family I have.
Oh, and by the way, the "kid" is not standing on a rock, we are all standing on flat ground!

Patrick,
This is indeed the best news I have heard ALL DAY, ALL WEEK, ALL MONTH, ALL YEAR!!!! I couldn't be happier for you, and I have been following your story since the day I joined the forum. You've been such an inspiration for me, and you embody such a source of determination and strength, that I know you are going to be a rousing success. (Like it was ever a question?!)
It's YOUR time now! CONGRATULATIONS my friend!

This makes me giggle Tim because I know what you mean! While I was away with my fiance in his diesel this past week and we went into a Truck Stop to eat, I went straight to a booth to sit down because I wanted to feel the effect of being able to FIT this time. I STILL has this little voice of doubt in my head before reaching the seat and wondering if I would really fit! I told my mind to "shut up" because I was going to fit! I sat down in it and had tons of space, I twisted I turned, I sat sideways and put my feet up on the seat long-wise and my fiance looked at me and busted out laughing and said, "what are you doing"? I told him I wanted to sit in that booth every way possible except on my head just because I could!!!! LOL He was rolling laughing at me. I probably looked like a kid on a playground! LOL Pat, just wait til you do silly things like this. It's SO fun, but yet you will laugh at yourself for seeming so silly. I can't wait to hear about them from you!

Trina, you are so right! At my largest I could still fit into a booth though it was a very tight fit and now every time I go to sit in the booth I expect it to be a tight fit. and every time I have so much room you could put 3 of me in there. It just blows me away.

Pat, I love it!
And I can relate, too. I am three weeks post surgery.
In February, when i came on this board, you were so totally kind to me and so encouraging, even in the face of your own frustrations at the time. I am so happy to be able to do that for you now, to encourage you to keep adding to your wonderful THINK list (no longer a Dream list), and you will be ticking those items off very soon.
You go, guy!!!!!
Hugs,
Claire

Patrick! Can I get a whoop whoop?? I am so happy for you!!! I remember when I first came to this forum in August...and I remember thinking you and I would probably have our surgeries around the same time...then your insurance crap happened, and you know the rest...lol....but you didn't give up, and it's paid off for you, big time!!! I can't wait to hear all about your surgery. I love reading your posts. By the way...your pictures are nice. I always pictured you bigger...but you aren't! You'll be shopping for new clothes before you know it!
