Zen,

I am going to call you Super Woman!!! {{{{ZEN}}}}}}

Just remember we are all here to support you. If you feel the urge to eat cookies, come here and type instead...I know it sounds corny, but I do that a lot. I go to the kitchen to eat something bad and think about why I am doing what I am doing. I will usually come here and read and re-think why I am looking to eat something that isn't good for me. Sometimes, I give in and eat cookies or Doritos or something just because I want to. I feel we are all human and part of me wants to just feel normal. It is when I eat junk and find ways to sabotage myself that I have to really get a grip and think "what is really bugging me?"

Andrew made a very sweet post and gave you some great advice along with the others who posted. Hang in there sweetie.

"Thank you", does not express the gratitude I have for each and every ONE of you!! Your support, words, and encouragement have kept me on the strait and narrow for three days now. For that alone, I am very blessed for having found this wonderful place and all of you dear, sweet people!! <<HUGS>>

Just an update: I saw my cardiologist and was advised to up my Sodium intake and drink propel daily and avoid caffine at all costs. That should slow if not halt all the fainting spells. Being on an antidepressent also helps..and that dosage is getting increased.

As to eating...the scale is once again moving in the right direction...though slowly. Everyday I come here and read and re-read the posts here and that hand-holding is making all the difference right now! I owe each and everyone of you a debt of gratitude!!!! THANK YOU!

Zen, very happy to hear that...I agree, this is a real lifeline for me too...having this board and great people to ask questions, answer others and just vent.

Zen, I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to post on this before now. As with you, life has been a wee bit crazy lately.

You know its amazing how stress effects our eating. You have to remember that surgery was on our stomach NOT on our head! We have years and years of learned behavior and it doesn't disappear along with our pounds. So, please, don't beat yourself up over this. It is important though, that you are recognizing the behavior. It isn't healthy behavior and obviously you know that. It is something you need to recognize and work on. You do need to CHANGE it and NOT ACCEPT it as "OK" behavior, because it isn't. But as in everything it is a learning process.

Don't beat yourself up, you "crusty ole' flower". That's not the way to take care of yourself. I know you know that. Your life is SO FULL of everyone and everything else. I think you need to re-evaluate it, maybe prioritize a bit differently, take a deep breath and take care of YOU! Your body, heart, mind and soul....ALL of you!

You're going to be ok....I'm sure of it!

Zen,

The thread and its wonderful responses rings so true for so many of us. I just hope that a year down the road you can reflect on your initial post and see, with the benefit of time distance, what actually triggered your anguish.

I wish you every continued success, courage and strength!

Vim, this thread is over a year old and Laura has went below her goal and had plastics and has a rockin' body now! She DID IT and then some! She overcame that internal cookie monster and she's a georgeous, slender woman with a flat tummy. WAY TO GO LAURA!

Thanks Trina!

Great outcome - I am thrilled! Thanks for updating on Laura! It just shows what you can achieve if you put your mind (and resources) to it! Fantastic result, inspiration and motivator!

I often check the "Who's online" feature because I 'm interested in what visitors "go" for. As a result, I have posted on a number of occasions on old threads - which have stood the test of time!
I'm 194.2 today, goal also of 150! How are you at the moment? I have lost "only" 45 pounds but your loss is AMAZING! Keep your head high pal!
Cheers,
Vim
