Default OT: Afghanistan suicide blast

I just wanted to ask that you keep our troops and contractors in Kabul in your prayers after this latest explosion. I rec'd an email from my son this morning, he was there but is unharmed, thank you Lord. He did lose a close friend who is also a contractor from So Cal. I just wish these freaking politicos would think about what their presence does to our troops and civilians. If Cheney had kept his ass home there would be 23 people alive today. What purpose does it serve for him to go there? It just puts these people in more of harms way than they already are. Thanks for letting me vent.

Default bad situation

Pam,

I am glad your son is alright. I feel terrible for all he is going through. I wish we could solve this and bring our loved ones home. I can't imagine what you go through while he is gone. I will keep you and all of our troops in my prayers.

God Bless you!

Pammy Dear,
I had no idea your son was in the sandbox. How in the world can you bear it? You are one strong woman, and I want to make sure you know we are here for anything you need--even if it's just calling to touch in with someone who cares. We love you honey, and are sending our strength to you.

I was absolutely disgusted when someone asked "the shrub" during a press conference why he didn't encourage his daughters to enlist. His response was, "there are many ways in which people can serve." One of his brainless daughters is busy doing "fundraising" and the other one is teaching in Central America. Fergoodnesssake, she can't even teach in her own country. Maybe she could use your son as a teacher's aide--after all, he'd still be "serving his country..."

We love you Lady, and want to be there for you however you need us.

I was wondering because he is over there by choice can he choose to come back, or does he have to stay as long as he signed on for? He'a not in the Military right?
I hope that he continues to be safe and gets to come home soon! Tell him if he goes back your going to kick his butt! Hey you are the MOM he has to listen to you no matter what!

Thanks so much for the support. He is over there as a civilian contractor. He is due to come home mid April when his contract is up. He can't come home any sooner. He would have been home 6 months ago but his freaking wife totaled their Santa Fe so he had to stay longer to make up the $ and the time he took to come home and take care of the fallout of her stupidity. I wish he'd make the switch and dump the bi%ch!!!!

OH that sucks!! Someone should slap her! He doesn't have to much longer, so I will keep him in my thoughts for a save return.
