Default I went shopping again!!!!!

Oh,darn, the monthly clothing trip. What's weird about normal sized clothing is that they all fit the same. In larger clothing sizes, you never know what will fit and have to try on dozens of outfits and get so depressed and frustrated. No more! I was looking only for work slacks. Still wear the same size tops as my googly arms get in the way! The first 5 pairs of pants I tried on fit perfectly. No guessing, no fuss. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Previous trips took 2-3 hours! A perfect today's size 12. I did try a pair of 10s, not quite there yet! No more women's sizes. I'm a petite misses! Also bought a package of low rise panties in hot pink! Enough to cover the floppy pannus, but low enough to show off my cutesy belly button!

Marie,

Even though it took less time, it sounds like you had lots more fun!!! How wonderful for you.. I am very happy for you. Since you are out of them 14's you got any dresses that may be dressy enough for a Christmas Party for Stuarts work?? It's semi-formal and I don't want to buy anything ya know?? Just wondering.. no worries if ya don't..

Thumbs up Congratulations, Marie!

Shopping is THE BEST! Not only does it take substantially less time, it's a hell of a lot cheaper too! I got the urge this morning and headed over to Ross since I didn't have much money - in an hour (most of which was trying on over 30 items in the fitting room), I bought 4 shirts, 1 skirt, 1 bra, and 8 pairs of skinny-a$$ underwear for $55!!!

Default Christina gal!

I have 4 dresses that are very nice for the holidays. Depending on the accessories, you can go dressy casual or all out evening formal. Let's set something up. I can either bring them over or you can come over here and try them on. I have been reluctant to donate them becuase they are too nice to just give them away to someone who may not appreciate them. Plus, they were a pretty penny or two and part of me wanted to wait until the right person came along. I thought I might get one more wear out of them this year, but it's still a month until the parties begin!

Default No fair, I lost 7lbs this week.....

So those pants I just bought are already too big! I figured I'd get 3-4 weeks out of them with my average weight loss of 2 lbs/week. Back to Ross I go. What a great birthday present!

I guess we'll have to think of clothing purchases as RENTALS for a while... once you're out of something, throw it in the donations pile for someone else to enjoy! Congrats on 7 pounds so fast! That's impressive.

I went clothes shopping for the first time since surgery today - some of the old pants I'd saved from smaller times are now getting too big. I got some slacks in size 40 - which amazes me (I was a 46 or so) - they're a little on the tight side, but I'm sure that won't last long. Took them to the cleaners for alteration - my legs are short - and asked them to hem them up without cutting all the excess off so someone else can make them longer when I "undergrow" them in a few weeks (or months).
