I have to have a pre op with Dr. Nicholson office on Friday and just wondering if anyone else has had Dr. Nicks?

Also what type of testing does he do before surgery?

My pre-op with Dr Nick is Thursday. I don't know what testing he does. I do know he requires a psych visit...which I had last week.

I have had my appts. With Ashmore and Wilder. Can you keep me posted on your progress I will go friday. I also start the begin of my 6 month on Nov 5th.

What type of surgery are you wanting to have?

I had my surgery with Dr. Nick on October 12th! He is AWESOME!!! I love him!! Kristian is great too! I've had to call on her a couple of times and she came right through with me! The testing I had done was some simple blood work, an upper GI, psych eval, and see the dietician. I have nothing bad to say about my whole experience from the beginning to the end. I'm just learning how to eat differently now!!! Good luck and congratulations!!!

Stacy - I'm planning on having the RNY (abbrev.) but I think that will be confirmed tomorrow at my apt.
I'll be sure to keep you posted. Us Dr Nick gals have to stick together

Are you going to any of the support meetings? We could carpool, if you're interested.

Lions - I'm so glad to hear you have great things to say about Dr Nick and Kristian. Knowing he's one of the top doctors in the metroplex is great but hearing other people sing his praises is even better. :::waving to you over there in Carrollton:::: Do you go to the support group meetings?

I didn't know there where support groups that you could go to before hand. I would love to go when do they have them and where? I would like to have the band done. I go tomorrow to have my pre op for insurance. How did you appt go?

The next one is next Wednesday and Baylor Plano if you want to go. I'm going.
The appointment today went GREAT. I really like him - however it is my understanding that I might not have actuallyl gotten to see him today. Apparently the first visit is more about the insurance info and talking with the nurse, etc. I did get to meet him though and he's sooo sweet. I met Lisa too, who is my insurance person. VERY nice and helpful. Bea the nurse was great too. I'm very impressed with the whole place.

What time is your apt. tomorrow?

My appt is at 2:30. I'm really excited about the process and that Im taking these steps. The only thing left is the diet that end on dec 1st, pre opt vist and the approval.

I'm a little disappointed but they can't do anything until my diet is done and I have been approved. So I'm just trying to hang in there and not get discouraged. Thanks for asking how are things going on your end?
