Default got mine too!

Yep, listen to Suzy!
I got my sample of jerky today, and it's gone. It's thicker cut than other jerkeys, but the flavor is great, and I like the thicker cut--makes me feel like I'm eating steak.

I used to have a really good food dehydrator in Minneapolis. We had scads and scads of garden delights that I dried--raspberries, basil, oregano, dill, green peppers, hot peppers, and I can't believe I sold it before I moved out to CA. Well, with protein being so important and jerky being such a good source, I decided to get another dehydrator. I found one for $3.50 at a Goodwill store! So I'm going to experiment and see what I can come up with to eat that will actually benefit me and taste decent.

I would order a lb. of the jerky if I could afford it. I'll try making my own, then buy it from Suzy when I figure out what a hassle it is to make!

Trust me it's not easy! I let my friend dry it and package and I'm just marketing it for her.

Suzy,
I also like to make the thicker Jerky. When they forced me to have the process USDA approved, I had to get it thin cut! LAME! I also bottle my marinades and sell them for people who like to save and make it at home. My marinades and Kits allow people to make Jerky for about $3/Lb. You might not want to commercialize your friends product to much as the implications of selling jerky without USDA approval is a HEFTY fine and possible jail time. On that note! I would LOVE a sample, I enjoy tasting others creations....
