Yes, the time some people look forward to, while others hope it passes quietly. I'm speaking of Girl Scout cookie sales! The cookie sales officially start tomorrow, Jan 21st. The cookies make great gifts for friends and loved ones, and Operation Thin Mint is continuing this year. OTM was set up for people to donate money for the Girl Scout council to send cookies to the troops overseas. The cost per box this year is $4.

While I'm a little iffy about posting this here, I felt it okay to spread the word. If anyone would like more information, feel free to send me a PM. I'm the cookie mom for my daughter's troop. . .which is odd because I can't eat any of the cookies.

So, support your local girl scouts, order for your friends, for your family, or for the troops!

My youngest daughters troop is doing a similiar thing. I got each of the kids one box of cookies, one for hubby, and bought 10 to send to our troops. They'll be happy to have 'em, I feel good about doing it, and I won't have to be sick from eating the darn things! A box of Thin Mints use to be an appetizer for me! Great reminder on supporting the kids and our troops!

My hairdresser's daughter is selling those EVIL LITTLE COOKIES again. Satan made me buy 7 boxes of Thin Mints to give away. Shame on that lil' devil.

Jenny I don't think there is anything wrong with posting this here. I think it should be law that everyone purchase a box of girl scout cookies in the name of Scouting. At the hospital I work at it is crazy this time of the year. I swear everyone there is strung out on them thim mints. Thoes cookies sale them selves.

My daughter is selling them as well.I thought to myself should I post it or not hehe...its so hard not to eat one of those things when were selling them.But I have to be a good little girl

Drat - its the time of year to tak a vacation on a remote deserted island with just me, a trashy novel,and my Opti-fast. I am too darned fat and my boobs are too darned big to outrun these little girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll join you. We just had to turn in my daughter's order form...she (I) sold over 250 boxes...now to just get them out of the house BEFORE I have surgery!!! Good thing I can put them in the freezer...I forget about stuff in the freezer...found a box from last year when I was cleaning them out!
