Hey guys I'm a Finance Manager in the Automobile industry. Been doing this for over 20 yrs. I would actually like to get out of this business. I do have my real estate license, and have sales experience. If anyone knows of a good job that pays well (more than 50K a yr) would ya let me know? Thanks Suzy

Don't ya know once you've worked more than 5 years at a dealership you can never leave?

Well you can leave, but you'll go back. It's like a colt they always suck ya back in....lol

I've been at my for 9 years now. I always say I'm going somewhere else. I have even quit about 6 times, but some how they manage to suck me back in! Hmm maybe because they always offer more money.

Jeanie I say NOOOOOOOOOOOOO but you know what I've been sucked back in so many times because of the money. I have "retired" from the car business 4 times in the past. However, this time I'm looking for the right opportunity. I do not intend to retire in the car business

My mom has been in the car business since the 70's. She left the sales floor about 7 years ago for finance but the last dealer laid her off earlier this year.

She's looking for another finance job but coming up short.

She has worked on the Mile Of Cars for a long time except her last F&I which was in Pacific Beach.

She has had to go back to the sales floor and remembers why she left in the first place.

Hey Gerry... I might know her. Anyway there are no F&I jobs down in the SD area that I know of. There are some up in the Riverside/SB area. Pay is much better up here too from what SD is paying. The way to find a F&I job is to have your numbers and call around to the GM's. Usually someone is doing a terrible job and you can get the job. I rarely see jobs advertised. Tell your mom good luck!
