Kristy,
Thanks for letting us know about your mom. How are you doing? Is someone staying with you?

I went and saw her myself this afternoon. She looks great!! She said she was a little bored as there wasn't much to do and the TV wasn't working, but she had alot of magazines and stuff to read. She said her drain should be coming out either tonight or tomorrow, and she's scheduled to come home tomorrow afternoon.

As for pain, it's just like Kristy said. She's only having pain in her lungs from her asthma. I asked her if she was using her little sucky thing they gave you and she said yes, but it made her hurt a little more. She's already off the morphine and was sitting up in a chair when I went in there. Lucky her, she doesn't even have a room mate.

"Somebody", a Guest to this site, was viewing this thread. I read it all the way through and am REALLY impressed with your initiative and participation Kristy in Mum's surgery!
How are you now Kristy? How did you cope with your Mother's return home and her weight loss these last 2+ years? Have you come across others who have had weight loss surgery? How is your own eating style going? Are you aware of your own diet and trying to keep on top of it or do you struggle?
Best wishes and do let us know the outcome!
Cheers,
Vim
