Kristy,

Your mom should be fine. Please do let us know after you see her. If you, or she, need anything, send me an e-mail, I'd be glad to help.

Kristy...

I think its great that you're so willing to help your mom, and that you reached out to us for help. She will be fine, sweetie, and I will be keeping her in my prayers.

Default Kristy...

Hi honey your mom will be fine...you should impress her when you go visit her and make sure she gets up to walk and when she gets home make sure that you make her get up at least every two hours to do her walking...walking and sipping lots and lots of water is very very important so if anything aside from helping her clean the house and doing things like that make sure you push her to walk and sip her water she will be impressed that you know thats what she needs to do and dont worry she will be ok. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom during this time. Take care sweetie and if you need anything at all just PM someone anyone you feel comfortable with and tell her we all wish her well.

Where is she having surgery. Just know that we are here to talk with you to answer any questions you have. You can email me privately whenever you want and I will be happy to talk with you. My kids are 12 and 13 and they were very scared when I had the surgery, so they can probably relate to you. My daughter can talk to you on the phone if you are scared or just need someone to talk to. I hope all goes well with your mom.

This is where she is having surgery. Dr. Groves @NMCSD

your mom will do awesome, she is very knowledgeable about what she is doing. Im sure tomorrow she will be home tomorrow and you will be waiting on her hand and foot... but dont do it. She needs to be up walking every 2 hours at least! So you make sure you have her on her feet okay.

This is the first time someones child came on to chat, hubby's and mom's but never a child, its sweet! Welcome!

I'm going to visit her at the navy hospital tomorrow. Her surgery is the same place mine was. If anyone would like to come with me, let me know and I'd be more then happy to grab a few people, both my cars have room for 4
