Default boob question..(blush)

Well, lets see, I am 54 years old and most of my young life I was very curvy and sexy.. Not thin, not fat, but buxom
I hit 40 and all hell broke loose.. gained like 80 pounds.. can't get it off.. so.. I am in waiting for my approval..
about 5 years ago I had some reconstruction (breast cancer) and had very large breasts ( to the waist) ugh.. very bad...the doc made them quite little.. they were not shaped great and I have the "side boob" problem... but.. they are womanly... any way.. I wear like a 48 B... UGH.. If I go to a 36B I would be fine.. but too much smaller.. and well I would be very upset..
Now I worry they will dissapear.. Does anyone have any similar experience? do you just lose most of them? .. I would like to keep as much as I can... I don't want implants... but I want to look like a woman ! .. I am worried...

Hi Ninababy

Just a quick hello and to welcome you to TT.

I'm sorry that I am unable to offer any advice or suggestion about your issue, but I'm sure you will hear from others here who may have something constructive to offer.

Good luck, try not to worry too much about things that may not happen, however, have you thought about speaking to your doctor about what could be done if your worse fears were to materialise.

I was a 52E and now I'm a 38C, so...you might lose them. But seriously, is it worth all this worry? If someone told you that you would lose them for sure, would you not have the surgery? If so, then you need to rethink having the surgery.

You know what you will lose? 80+ pounds. And you will feel GREAT--with or without boobs.

This is about your health, not your tatas.

Good luck!

I was a handsome 46DD (ish) prior to WLS.

I'm now a true 30B. Yep - you read that right! lol

I don't have any breast tissue - just skin but it doesn't bother me (or DH) and as I'm slender anyway, they seem to fit the overall package.

Seriously, boobs are just boobs. Saggy and baggy when unleashed, but hey I had much rather be 100 pounds skinnier then have that bouyant rack of 2 years ago.

Victoria Secret even has some bras sent straight from the tata gods. I know. I just bought two of them. My rack looks hot now. Until unleashed.

Don't fret it. I think everyone of us ladies had rather weigh less and have out slinky boobs then the 100 + pounds back.

Yes you will lose some. BUT....even when I had large breast I wore a padded bra because I hated for my nipples to show. Now I still wear a padded bra because I still don't want my nipples to show AND because I have little boobs

It is so worth it!!!!

Hi Nina. I just turned 54 too. I lost over 100 in the past year after WLS. Although I was hoping that my girls would get smaller, in my past experiences with weight loss, I didn't expect them to shrink much and they didn't until I got under 150. Then I swear those last 10 pounds were all boobs. I went from a 42-DDD to a 36 something or other. I'm wearing padded bras, one is a DD and the other is a D and I know they aren't filling those cups up. I'm going bra shopping again soon and will probably look at the Cs, or I'm gonna start raiding my daughter's bras to see if I can fit into a C.

They really don't look that bad and the bright side is that I can go braless for the first time in my life (as long as I wear something to hold them up a bit like a cami with a shelf bra). The good thing is that there are so many awesome bras out there now to choose from. For once in my life I can wear a padded bra. They always made me look enormous before.

To me, the liberation I feel from the weight loss far outweighs the loss of my boobs. I actually looked into and was approved for a reduction prior to my surgery. I'm now really glad I didn't go through with it. Feel free to PM me.

Uh-huh,

I too have this bra, I went from a 48D to a 36C and well, 162 lbs heavier = unhappiness. Small boobs= over the moon happy. It's well worth it and if the bra doesn't work out try clear duct tape, it works wonders : )
