Beth,
I'm so sorry you've had so much pain. Hope you get the situation taken care of as soon as possible. Glad it's nothing more serious than your gall bladder...dang, how can such a tiny organ cause soooooooooooo much pain?

awww, thanks everyone. You are the bestest!
I'll be seeing my surgeon early Friday morning. So I'll have to see what his plan of action is. I also left a message with my pcp so he knows what happened last night. He knew about the pain I had been having but was letting Dr B run the show.
I'm just thankful it wasn't a hernia that was strangulating my bowel.
I'm really doing ok today. I'm just feeling beaten and bruised a bit and exhausted but the pain isn't bad at all. So far no need for any meds.
yeah, Donna, I had Dilaudid after my RNY and plastic surgery and did fine with it but they gave me a pretty big dose this time. Enough to freak the RN out when she saw a pulse of 47! I suspect it was a combo of the Dilaudid, no food for half the day and the contrast I had to drink. I was dry heaving all the way home. Thankfully it wasn't a very long drive.
Thank you all for the positive thoughts and prayers being sent this way. I love my TT family!!
...btw..."mother" Judy (Luna) is checking up on me regularly. So if anything big happens she will know.

((((Beth!))))
I'm so sorry you had to go through that last night, but at least it sounds like you are getting truly excellent, speedy care. Best wishes on any further procedures you have to undergo. Lots of healing thoughts heading your way.

Beth,
I'm sorry to hear that you're still going through it. I'm hoping that this Friday will give you something definitive. You've been through too much lately.
hugs.

Once again, thank you! I am truly touched by all of your comments and well wishes.
I'm doing ok today but starting to feel the pain again. It seems like if I eat anything more than really soft food it starts up. I've got some Vicodan in me so hopefully it doesn't escalate like last night.
Yep, so far I've gotten good care. My surgeon really has been quite prompt to my concerns and I've appreciated it.
To all you "TT Mom's" out there...yes, I'm getting in my fluids and even the protein I should.
One positive side to all of this? I got on the scale this morning and I was only 1 pound from goal. So do y'all think a gallbladder weighs a pound??
