Default I have a few words to say...

I have been coming to this forum for 2 ˝ years. During that time I have been blessed to make friends with quite a few of you, have been given some wonderful advice, comfort, strength, had some really great laughs. The forum has been instrumental in me maintaining what little sanity I have left! I have enjoyed coming to know you all and have felt real acceptance and caring. Even people with whom I have had differences of opinion treat me with dignity and respect, and they know that I still respect them regardless of our differences.

During these 2 1/2 years I have shared my thoughts and ideas and have been thanked, told that I am wise, have been told I have integrity and class, and that my opinions matter.

I have also had confidences broken, been stolen from, lied to and about, and now it appears that I am to be shunned by the same people who once held me in high esteem.

My true and beloved friends on this forum have been caring and supportive and I treasure each and every one of you dearly, whether we have physically met or not. Supporting me doesn’t seem to be a very popular idea right now, and I would feel terrible if anyone was flamed just because they expressed agreement with me.

There are also a whole lot of new folks on the board, and it is absolutely wonderful! You are a great bunch of people! You are well educated about WLS, you are thoughtful, kind, respectful and funny as hell! I’m happy to meet you, and I know that y’all don’t know me well, but please know that I have no quarrel with you, nor should you with me!

My love and my thanks go out to all of you who have sent me messages of encouragement. Thank you for having faith in me and not being intimidated into not supporting me. I'm hoping that this fall from grace is only temporary and people will better understand where I'm coming from soon. The insults and insinuations that are being thrown at me are not going to drive me off the board!

Default Well Said

Im still faily new around here but during my brief time Ive already read plenty of drama, people droping out feeling they were not getting attention, etc. I am happy to hear your not budging. Don't know the story behind it all and really don't want to either. We are all here for support and guidance so I am not about to turn this into something else. This is an on-line forum, if deep friendships form thats cool, but in reality Im not expecting it and not looking to join any clicks. So far as much that I have read that you have posted has been pretty encouraging. Hoorah that you will not let anyone run you off, that is a great example! For all the drama...well lets just grow up and realize we are all different people, this is not high school and frankly I need all the senior memebers around for advice as possible!

Donna,
I am always impressed with your maturity and am proud to call you a friend. You never fell from grace and your reaching out to the forum, once again, demonstrates your class.

I'm proud of you,
-Mike-

Donna, I think everyone here loves you! I don't think you've fallen from grace at all...quite the opposite. Glad to know you'll still be with us. Hang in there!

Default Hey D

I'm not sure what's going on. I'm sorry to read that there is drama again. Keep your head up grrl. You do a good job of that!

Tone and intent is difficult to interput on the internet.

I love this place, but right now, it's all people behind screens. My real life has not been touched. I guess I'm trying to say...Sticks and Stones ya know?

So if I'm gonna get flamed for supporting you my dear.

Two words.

BRING IT

Thumbs up thanks

Donna, I do however agree with you!! I am one too that will not let anyone run me off!! I listen to everyones opinion rathter I like or not and sometimes i even learn from it!! Everything will pass over im sure and things around here will hopfully be back to "normal" sometimes whatever that is!! lol...just kinda like im or was so against people have gbp that was my opinion and glad that most took that lightly, I was saying that cuz of my problems, but at the same time no one was saying that things could go wrong either and that's whenn i did put my 2c in and and agreed to disagree and stilll stand firm if you dont have at least 150 or more to lose then really there are other options!!! But, I will leave it at that cuz dont want the fire to burn more!! I do value your opinons and read them of course or wouldnt be replying...lol... anyway thanks for the post and glad to see that your staying!! Even though im revesed now im stilll staying because this site has became such a huge part of mylife and would never turn my back on anyone, just as no one did me!! I am sorry for the others that didnt have the energy to stick around but, thats them and their decionion just like its mine to stay!!! Ok, its late and I woke up again, so gonna go try sleep again!!! (((HUGS))) Laura

Hey Donna - As one who doesn't really dig the drama(Baby- said in my best groovy Austin Powers voice), I hold it against no one. We as "Adults" need to realize that everyone has an opinion and a right to protect themselves from attack. I think on the forums it is much more vicious, as there is a modicum of anonymity that allows folks to be a little more reckless with their words. I for one just try to avoid the flames, enjoy the company, and have fun with the forum. It is a good place to gain info and hopefully make friends.

Default don't know, don't care

I really came in on the tale end of all the llama drama, and I am glad I did, as I think it would have sent me away from this site. With that said, I am thankful for the ones that have stuck it out and stayed whether reversed, oldies but goodies, or newbies. This is a forum for support and I have received nothing but that from here. A big thank you to all of you that stays and answers questions, even if they are reruns, and for all the funny guys that makes this my place to run to everyday for the biggest laughs. I hope everyone will just understand that even though we are behind screens, we all have our own personality, and just because you don't like or agree with what one person says, doesn't mean this site has to go into meltdown. Be an adult and get over already. Good luck to everyone!!!

NOW STOP MAKING ME DIZZY EVERYONE, I LIKE STANDING STILL!!!!!
