This is precisely why this forum is so important to me. People who have never met me call me friend, people who live 5 minutes from me step up and are my friend, and people I have only read of for a short time already know I am a friend. They are not afraid. They don't think I'm mean. When such a diverse group of people can come to the same conclusion, I see it as truth.

To those of you who think I'm 'mean', those who are 'disappointed' in me, those who think the forum is 'afraid' of me, I say you don't know me as well as you think you do. And while your words hurt me, they haven't killed me or broken my spirit, so mission not accomplished! But I don't hold your opinions against you....I once thought of you as my friends, and I don't bail on my friends so hastily. (Well, most of the time anyway...)

SO.'nuff said.

Oh hell no. Donna, you are my hero for being blunt, straight and *honest* there is such a lack of that on these boards and I think that so many people sugar coat so many things for fear of being perceived as different or against the main stream.

I would rather read a post from Donna that I know is going to be insightful, hearfelt and true whether or not the topic or statements are all sunshine and rainbows.

I dont understand sometimes why people wear the emotions of a 3 yr old on their sleeve. We are adults. There are ppl on this board that aggrivate the holy heck outta me but I dont tell them that. I choose to be an adult and have minimal interaction with them.

I don't think this forum would be what it is w/out you Donna. I am personally pro-you! Rah-Rah-Rah!

I missed the bear thread. Why Im not bitchy bear?

Default I Hope No Misunderstanding

Thanks for the support, Izan. Everyone gets to have their own opinions, but I am against people lying and saying mean things that aren't true. There is no need for it. Some of the people saying hurtful things about me are people who I thought were friends. I've felt really sad about it, but I refuse to play the game.

HI DONNA TO YOUR ABOVE QUOTE. I HOPE THERE WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING. YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF WHEN UNDER ATTACK, AND I ADMIRE YOU FOR THAT. I AM GLAD YOU REFUSED TO PLAY THEIR GAME AND STUCK AROUND FOR THE REST OF US WHO NEED THE LOVE, ADVICE AND GREAT SUPPORT THAT THIS SITE OFFERS TO ALL OF US. I HOPE TO SOMEDAY RETURN THE SAME SUPPORT TO YOU AND OTHERS THAT YOU ALL HAVE GIVEN TO ME. KEEP THAT HEAD UP, AND STAY AS STRONG AS YOU HAVE BEEN. PEOPLE ONLY TEND TO TALK CRAP ABOUT OTHERS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO, AND ARE UPSET WITH THEIR OWN LIVES. THAT IS WHY THEY TRY TO HURT OTHERS. THEY WANT YOU TO BE AS UNHAPPY ABOUT LIFE AS THEY ARE.
GOOD LUCK AND WE ALL LOVE YOU AND APPRECIATE WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS FORUM.

Tammy and Izan,
Thanks for the support, you two! Tammy, I can just hear you saying these words, and it made me smile! I hope everything is still going well with your pregnancy. It was great spending time with you at Rain's....you always make me laugh!

Izan, I don't know you well, but I hope you will not be a stranger on the board. This is really a great place for support, friendship and acceptance. MO folks generally don't get much of any of those things, and to get all three at once is golden!

I need to work on the 'blunt' part of my posts. I don't want to be as harsh as that word connotes. People listen better and think more highly of the messenger when there is a little honey in the words, and that is just one of my many challenges. I am grateful for the friendship I feel here in spite of my shortcomings, and I am truly working on myself diligently! I don't like it when people are stung by my words, so my task is to harvest the honey without the bee sting!
