Part of it depends on where you live.... I have USCellular and love that INCOMING minutes are always FREE!!!

We've been with them our whole cell phone life (10? yrs)... and no problems... but then again, they may not be "the" carrier out in Calif...

we started out with alltel, but switched to Nextel because we wanted the walkie-talkie feature. I think Nextel is Sprint now. We have unlimited free incoming minutes, ulimited walkie-talkie minutes, and a bunch others. Don't have texting cuz don't need it don't have time to use it. Our problem is that we live in the ass end of space and only sometimes get ANY cell coverage by our house. Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't. When we are anywhere else on the plant, coverage is pretty good. Have a basic phone as I dont' want a camera or music or all the extras. When I am not home or at work, I don't want to be tracked down and have lots of phone calls. I just like to have it for emergencies and a little conversation every now and then. Of course the place I would probably need to make the emergency call out in the ass end of space, it doens' t always work! Oh well. Sue

I have T-Mobile. I am happy with them. It does seem to me that they have the best prices of any carrier. They seem to be about $10 less on all plans that comparable plans with other carriers.

I recommend going to Wirefly.com and comparing carriers. You can see plans from all carriers and what phones they offer.

Default Thanks so much!

Rachael,
Thanks for the tip about Wirefly--I will def go there and compare plans. Has anyone heard of Credo? They are the wireless Working Assets company and donate to good things. But I'm checking out ATT and T Mobile also.

Thanks a lot!

Don't Get an Iphone - YET!

There are still quite a few bugs that need to be worked out. Yes, it's an awesome phone, and I would love to have one to, BUT!

Look what's happened since they hit the market -

- Significant price drop after they hit the street - pissed off a LOT of people.
- Propriatary - means you can only run their software on it.
(Note: They have recently reversed themselves, but it's still a hassle.)
- Battery is not as good as it should/could be.
- Can only be used on the ATT phone network
(But - I'm sure that will be changing as well)

Personally, I'm waiting for the next generation. I can guarantee it will be cheaper, more dependable, and much more fun.

Patience - Grasshopper!
