Default A little announcement

Y'all know what a time I have had with being deconditioned, not being able to do much, and being severely depressed. Well, 3 days ago, we took some steps to help that out.

We are proud to say that we have adopted a 3 year old Corgi (with some other stuff in there, too). She was a stray that we got at the Animal Shelter. She's a doll. In light of her being a stray, and given that Michelle and she have a special bond already, we have named her "Roamy". We're still getting to know each other, but she is very well trained and the cats have already accepted her, so here we go! When I can get a digital pic taken of her, I will post it. She is a total beauty, and has the cutest smile a pooch could ever hope for. She's really smart, too.

She makes us have to get out and walk, which will help me get stronger and keep the weight thing from being an issue. It's been a long time since I had a dog though, so there is an adjustment period going on here.

I have a corgi also. he's 2 and acts more like a cat than anything. climbing on the back of the couch, always climbing over me (cause i am a couch ).

We have a big rot mix that's about 70 lbs. our corgi is so quick (and being a cattle dog) he "herds" her when they play. since he can turn on a dime he keeps her in a central location while he runs around her in big circles.

congrats on your new dog. dogs are the BEST!! post some pics.

here's a pic of our Winston Churchill.

OMG, how sweet is he! He's a Cardigan Corgi, right? Roamy is a Pembroke, so she is the pretty red haired kind. We think she is mixed with a little collie--her hair is longer than a corgi's and she has a long collie tail. But everything else is total corgi!

With Winston's coloring, he looks like a Roti with his legs sawn off! Soooo cute!

nope, he's a welsh pembroke. they come in the common red, but they are also in a tri color which he is.

here's a couple more pics. he was about 8 months in the second pic. the first pic is desceptive because he's closer to the front of the stairs while she is behind a little.

I stand corrected! I didn't know that about the tricolor thing. That's cool, because I really love that color combo and thought I'd have to get a Cardigan to get it.

Listen to me.....I've had this dog 3 days and I'm already talking about when I get another one!
