Dictation Time!!!
Well here we go! My file is as of today in dictation! I guess it takes a couple of weeks! Then I will know more. I'm not sure what else happens during this process or after. Would anyone like to fill me in? Your Info will be greatly appriciated!
Thanks!
~Tawna~
Still on diet; it's going ok! ~going on week 4 without smoking! Although Dr. C requires you to be smoke free for 2 mon. I'm sure I'm ok! Should be past 2 mon. mark by the time I get a surgery date!
So what is next? And how should I prepare?

Hi Tawna,
I think somebody went on vacation after I went into Dictation...I checked my status every day...tick tick tick went the clock...It can take a couple of weeks, but then, you go to insurance and get a pretty quick answer from there!

Excitement! But getting nervious!
Not much time left! I truly am excited! But at the same time as it gets closer, I'm starting to get nervious!! But over all I really can't wait!
Thanks Lynda, should I give Dr. C's office a call in a day or so to see how the dictation process is going?

When I went into dictation I think I remember them giving me a password or something like that where I could go on line and check where I am in the process. I'm not 100% sure though because it was almost three years ago. Did you get the binder? The info might be in there. I hope it goes quick. I think my was only a couple weeks before I got the call!

Don't bug Dr C's office til a few weeks have gone by...did they give you a username and password so you can use the patient log in at the top of the page to check your status? Mine still says 'in dictation'...a year later, LOL.

My Turn
Now, I'm in dictation and wondering how long it took. I'm sure you must have posted an approved or delayed post. I'll look for that too. Waiting is the worst! UGH!!!

I'm not a smoker, but I suspect the reason why doc's want a 2-month period being smoke free is to clear up the lungs a bit. Surgery can be harder on folks who smoke due to congestion, etc.
Just my 2 cents worth
