Unhappy Do they change that much?

Need help. I've been living with my best friend for the past 15 years. We have been inseperable during that time. I held her hand through her surgery and supported her through all of the ups and downs of the scale. Lately it's been feeling like she'd rather be hanging out with anyone but me. She says that I'm still her best friend but things even got pretty ugly last week in a very heated fight in which she told me to move out.

Have you all been through this as well? Am I just being too sensitive about the whole thing? Is it time for me to move on and let her stand on her own two feet?

Any feedback that you have would be much appreciated. Thanks!

in my opinion...I was in a similar situation - not WL related though. Not to get into much detail where I'd bore you, I would just suggest moving out for a bit. When people say and do rash things, they usually come around later, tail between their legs, and the relationship will be even better.

The surgery reveals who you may really be underneath all that fat. There are mnay things your friend wants to experience. Give your friend some space, watch from afar, and see how it goes. Your friend may or may not return. YOu need to take care of yourself too, though it will hurt for away.

Yes things change, and there is nothing you can do about it. You will change, the people around you will change, or you will start to see them in a new light.

Dont frieght about it, those who love you unconditionally will stick around. Thats whats important, and refreshing... finding out who your true friends REALLY are!
