Well obviously my name is not Fatty McFat... but it certainly feels like that sometimes!

This blog is all about my weight loss surgery journey, and all of the thoughts and feelings I have about what is going on in my life.

Please feel free to leave comments... I love comments.

I hope that this isn't too weird somehow. I can only assume that though we are all sharing this life changing experience that it is vastly different for all of us!

I hope if you are reading this you enjoy!

Cheers,

TTGirly

33 lbs gone...

Posted 07-13-2009 at 12:30 AM by Thinthingirly
I know I know... maybe it is stupid to weigh myself like every day... or even once a week... my Dr. says that I need to focus on not weight loss right now and instead just focus on protein etc.

But that is not sort of good enough, you know? Like I want some sort of incentive for drinking all of this protein, and I totally have it...

I weighed myself today and I have lost 33 lbs so far. I am under 300 lbs, and I am amazed. I don't even really know what to say it is...

Vomit!

Posted 07-09-2009 at 11:20 PM by Thinthingirly
So due to my deep hatred of protein shakes my doctor said that I am allowed to move to the next eating stage of this whole process a little early.

I was so excited! Except that today I tried to eat a 2oz piece of lamb and ended up becoming more sick than I have ever been in my entire life!

I finally threw up which was painful but also a total relief.

And then I freaked out that I was totally doing myself hard core damage some how. Which I don't think...

Posted 07-07-2009 at 11:43 PM by Thinthingirly
So I had my surgery a week ago yesterday and I am feeling physically great.

I have lost 15lbs and that brings me to a grand total of 25 gone so far... which is fantastic!

But I am having a hell of a time coping with a couple of things...
1. Protein powder and protein shakes
2. Coping without food as a coping mechanism.
3. Watching EVERYONE else I know eating all the time.
4. My best friend having cancer and being very very stressed out...

Posted 07-04-2009 at 12:31 AM by Thinthingirly
So last night while we were sleeping someone drunk drove into our backyard and took out our fence and the neighbor's fence.

So insane!!!!

Apparently the "perp" is a 17 year old girl... it figures. There is a ton of damage and our poor dogs can't go out into the yard at all. Which they are very upset about.

In some ways I am really pissed, but in other ways I am so glad to be able to think about something other than surgery!!!!

Post #11... only three more days!

Posted 07-04-2009 at 12:28 AM by Thinthingirly
My surgery is on Monday! i am so nervous. I will probably not blog so much right after my surgery but I will get back on track as soon as I can.

I am only drinking liquids now and it is not so so bad. Which is very encouraging since I will not eat solid food again until July 30th!!!

I am sure that this will be the best decision I have ever made but right now it makes me want to throw up... a LOT!
