Day from hell

Posted 10-18-2007 at 01:08 PM by terriB
So yesterday and Tuesday I had 5 appointments between the 2 days. I spent tuesday morning with the Pain Specialist. He gave me a CPAP for sleep apnea to take home. Boy is that frustrating. I had always told myself I didn't have sleep apnea but I do.

Then I saw the dietician I was down 2 pounds from her last weigh in. I told her I was doing weight watchers because I was failing without something more than her support 2 times a month. She was actually very supportive.

Then I had my Eating after Bariatric surgery class. That was no fun. My nutritionist usually runs it but she was late so some other woman ran it. A lot of times she kept saying anyone can loose weight by eating 1200 calories. That makes me soo frustrated the attitude that just eating 1200 calories will fix it.

Then I met weith my Psycologist to see if I am mentally stable enough for the surgery. She went down a checklist. It was easy enough to follow but she didn't really take any time with me. She wanted to create her report. I won't go see her again.

Then I get home to hubby and absolute chaos. Kids were upset. Dinner took too long to cook. I had a bad headache from all the running around. It was a night of insanity until about 7:30 when I sent my hubby to timeout. He and my oldest were fighting like crazy. I couldn't stand it. So then he and I had a nice conversation and things mellowed.

So that is the crazy week - I have 10 more pounds to loose before surgery - 2 more classes and an EKG to finish my checklist. I'm hoping to be done on Nov 7.

So I can schedule surgery.
