well here I am after going thru a what seems like a forever journey to a new and improved thinner and healthier life....I had all my pre-op tests run and my surgery is scheduled for March 9th!!! yay me!!! my hubby finally saw the weight number on a scale for the first time in ten years(and that was after losing about 30 lbs pre-op) and I am scared and excited about the upcoming surgery....I am afraid of the blood clot issues, hair loss etc but the fear is lessor than the excitement of being thin and healthy again for the first time in over 18 years!!! cannot say baby weight anymore when the "baby" is nearing 18 huh??? wish me loads of luck and pray for me......RAYNE

day 5 and down 8lbs!!! day four!! and meds!! Posted 03-13-2009 at 08:30 AM by redrayne63 okay...lesson learned the hard way.... make sure you cut up your bulkier meds!!! I made the mistake of taking my diabetes meds and blood pressure etc without cutting them up...dont get me wrong, they went down fine but must've stuck at the new smaller opening to my intestines cause I could not get down anything but small amounts of water all day long....dont get me wrong...there was no feeling of hunger but just that extremely uncomfortable feeling of being overfull....from three tablets and some... I made it, I did not die while under the gas nor thus far from the dreaded deep vein thrombosis....I am walking more and more everyday. The gas situation is still a bit troublesome(feels like a rock up under my breatst) and my staples itch like mad but overall....its been alright...thank the good lord someone had warned me about the gas escaping up thru your shoulders....today, I added a little sugar free jello to the fruit juice...
