Milestones and changes

For the last few weeks, I've not spent much time here at Thinner Times. This makes me sad because I don't want to stop coming here. It is currently my only source of support groups and I've said from the beginning that I don't want to be one of those people who stops using their support group and then gains weight back. I have to admit, though, that when I do make a point to go to check in on the Forum that it just doesn't hold my attention lately. I have to find some way to re-commit myself...

Wow, here I am at a weight of 178, clothing sizes medium-large and 10-14. It is so weird to be here, especially so "soon". Surgery really wasn't that long ago, honestly, just 9 months. In many ways, I'm still a "newbie" compared to many. I have lost a total of 160 pounds from my highest recorded weight, and 125 since surgery. I look in the mirror and sometimes I feel amazing. Sometimes the saggy skin and stretch marks depress me -- I don't have a boyfriend or life...

Speedy!

Posted 06-07-2008 at 06:05 PM by Nyn
Another WOW moment has been happening to me at the gym in the last few weeks. I used to do the elliptical for around 45 minutes at a speed of 120 strides per minute. I decided to ramp it up to 130 spm and that went really well. Then last week I looked down and realized that I was really doing 140 spm without even realizing it and only feeling a bit more effort to do it. Wow! Take 151 pounds off a gal's body and hey, look at the increased mobility. Today I did the entire workout at 138-144...

Less than two months ago, on April 11, http://www.thinnertimesforum.com/blo...w-moments.html. I posted about two pretty summer dresses that I was really excited about finally getting to wear since they had been too small for me for the most of the last 10 years. One of them wouldn't zip up, but I was excited about getting to wear it someday soon. Well, since then, I've lost 17 more pounds, and YES, today it went on with no problem.

Eeeeee! <-- that was me squealing...

Walking in the sun

Posted 05-31-2008 at 08:20 PM by Nyn
I had a big "To Do" list for today. I'm sure like most people, I can't get much done during the week, so I always save stuff to do on my weekends. Anyway, the first thing I had to do was take my new car in to get detailed and have a few little things looked at (like the antenna that someone STOLE! grr...). I then found out that I would have to leave my car there at the dealer service department the WHOLE DAY. (Grr...that's not what the scheduling girl told me! ) "Well,...
