Walking in the sun

I had a big "To Do" list for today. I'm sure like most people, I can't get much done during the week, so I always save stuff to do on my weekends. Anyway, the first thing I had to do was take my new car in to get detailed and have a few little things looked at (like the antenna that someone STOLE! grr...). I then found out that I would have to leave my car there at the dealer service department the WHOLE DAY.
(Grr...that's not what the scheduling girl told me!
) "Well, there goes getting my errands run," I thought. I just assumed that there was no way I could get around town with no car. Well, not necessarily true...
I got to the dealership and looked around at all the shopping that was in the general area. "Well, hey," I thought, "I guess I could walk..." Walk, of course I can walk!
I had fallen into the thought patterns of Fat Nyn, not thinking of the more active way of living first. When I was morbidly obese, I probably could have gotten around (I was still pretty active, considering, even at my heaviest), but it would have been unpleasant, so I probably would have dropped the car off, maybe done one errand, and then walked home really tired and sweaty. Now, 150 pounds lighter, I walked allllll over town, did a bunch of shopping and such, walked home, decided I could do some more stuff, walked around the little downtown area around my house for lunch and window shopping, walked home again, then later walked BACK to the dealership. I am not even that tired! The most tiresome part was the whipping, heavy wind that blew all day and irritated my eyes and gave me a headache. I am also SUNBURNED!!! The heavy wind and relatively cool temperature fooled me into forgetting about the sun. doh! Not tired, not sweaty, got almost everything done (I couldn't really walk all the way to Winco, up the highway, and back with all my groceries...) AND got in a bunch of "free" (i.e. not at the gym) exercise! Woo hoo! I love this life!
