Postscript to pants-related wow moment...
Ok, I just have to laugh. Today I was running very late. I have to leave by 5:45am if I want to be able to park for free and catch my Amtrak commuter train, but this morning I didn't get out of bed until 5:15.
I then realized that I had not planned out what to wear last night, which I kind of have to do if I don't want to spend 20 minutes of trying to force my sleepy brain to think in the mornings. So I grabbed one pair of nice brown dress pants (that I haven't worn since pre-op) and put them on...and then they fell off. I had pants LITERALLY falling off of me -- hahahahaha!
They were 28's, so I threw them into the growing "good-bye" pile, though they are so nice and kind of new still. Oh well. Next pair of pants I pulled off the hanger were also 28's...so I didn't even try. Next! I pulled on a pair of 26's. They are brown striped stretch jeans. They did not fall off. I wiggled a bit and they stayed on, so I pulled on a brown top, my coat, a scarf, and was out the door.
Now, I should mention, I hate belts. The only belts I own are packed away in storage right now. So, I was walking quickly out to my car at 5:50am (running late!) when I felt my pants start to sliiiiiide down my hips. "oh what now?" I thought. But I didn't have time, so I shimmied my hips a bit to stop their movement and kept going. I really, really should've turned back and changed. 2 and a half hours later, I was walking from my bus stop to my office building and the pants very nearly slid all the way past the swell of my hips at least 3 times. Good thing my coat is long and baggy! I made sure it was buttoned so no one could see me flashing my grey bikini briefs!
I tried to roll up my thin scarf and use it as a belt. No good. So all day I have worn my buttoned up coat in my office -- LOL!
Lesson learned: I really need to break down and go buy a belt (but I hate them!!!). And also some more smaller pants.
I also wanted to briefly thank the people who commented on my previous posts -- you guys are sweet!! Thank you!!!

You don't need to brag about your new svelte body you know...pants falling off you. What next? I can't keep up. Darn it all woman....I agree with the belt statement. I have always felt like a sausage cut in half when I put one on. Great job on the attempted streaking, let me know when you succeed.

What a fun blog post to read!!! Although it does suck that your clothes doesn't fit you anymore, isn't it the best feeling that your clothes doesn't fit you because it is too big? ...rather than the reason most of us are used to of them being too small?
