And here we are 6 days away from my date with Dr Thomas. I am very excited. I am also very anxious, I want it to be over already!!! I find myself getting a bit nervous here and there as well!

I have nothing but support from EVERYWHERE! I thank God for that! My family, friends, co-workers, management, church family (including all the children I teach) have all been so supportive of my decision to have gastric bypass. I luckily have only experienced 2 people's disgust that I have chosen to do this. One person's facial expression looked as though she had just caught a wiff of the most disgusting smell ever!!! Her nose wrinkled up and said, "what's the matter you can't stop eating and lose the weight yourself!?!?!?" The other was a reaction over the phone. The line went quiet for 10 seconds, until she finally came around to ask if I really thought that fat was that big of a deal - "it's not like you're gonna die from it... Why do you need to go through surgery?"... -Anyway, I am here! I have made this decision. I have gone through alot to get here. I have learned alot. I WILL NOT get back where I am today. I will continue to learn, and I will work very hard to change all of my bad habits. I have an awesome support system behind me. And most importantly, I believe in myself! I believe that I can do this!
I am doing ok with my pre op liquid diet. I may have to visit the accountability forum later, because I just put a couple small peices of grilled chicken breast in my mouth. Oops! I see that since I don't have a weigh-in scheduled at the nut's office before surgery, I don't have a "goal" to hit right now... I kinds just have to slim down as much as I can b4 Wednesday's surgery... I feel like I could find myself grazing on foods... not bad foods mind you, but solid foods still. I will do my very best to be a good girl and follow the rules even while I don't have anyone breathing down my back pushing me to do it!
