I am 54 this year matter of fact on the 23rd, 2 days before surgery date , I am at 226 or so right now my heaviest was 250, and I have no other options for my self and getting me in good health again. I did not use to be this heavy , I was in sports and very active when I was in my late twenties,,, but once I had two disc rupture and my physical health went after,, I loved to run play ball and chase my kids ,, but I have grandchildren now and I need to make sure I take care of myself now before I get too far gone, so I am doing this for me and all of my family and friend who care about me and want me to live.... you do not think you are old til one day you just hurt all over just to move around .. my knees are gone, my hip is bad and I have hbp, and just found out I have sleep apneia and asthma, and get migrains alot. so this is my gift to me, just do it and live for myself and my family.. so here we go, this is March 2 and I am ready.

Hi, my name is Janine and I had mu surgery on January 26th. I was about the same weight you are and am very excited for you. I had a great experience and wish I had known before how easy it would be. I had very little pain and was shopping at Macy's 4 days later. Good luck to you, I hope you have as much success as I have

Thank you so mucb Jannine that makes me feel better

I have fought this weight too many years and found out our insurance would pay if I fit the quallifications , well why did it hurt to try huh? Well I had them turn in my medical records and what do you know I think they said I broke a record at being accepted.. and it was just ment to be , on my own I could not get any where , I would loose maybe 20 lbs and then in a few mo. gain it all back when you can not move around much it is not so easy to loose weight, and setting still just makes you want to eat so maybe with this all done I will have some real success and also I will not hurt so much just to get up out of the floor.... doing the second sleep study tonight and hopefully it will go fine, feel free to tell me anything about the surgery and recovery you want I am very interested.....
