70 pounds at 4 months out!!

Posted 04-27-2009 at 05:55 PM by LMac0218
Hello all!! Just wanted to update you all and let you know that the weight that was coming off slow just melted out of nowhere!! I am now 4 months post-op and on my 4 month anniversary I had lost exactly 70 pounds! So excited!!

It hasn't come with out problems though! I have had some really bad issues with eating.....or not being able to eat I should say! I am also starting to notice some of my hair falling out as well.

I guess the bad has to balance out the good....

Stagnant weight loss

Posted 01-16-2009 at 10:01 AM by LMac0218
It may be just me over reacting....and I need to know if it is happening with anyone else. I am about 3 1/2 weeks post op and I have been at a weight loss stand still for about a week and a half now. I haven't lost a pound in about a week and a half. I am stuck and it fluctuates between 27 and 29 pounds weight loss. I am having a moment! I am worried!! Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks!

Puree Smuuree

Posted 01-05-2009 at 02:34 PM by LMac0218

Am I the only one experimenting with trying different foods to see what my "new pouch" will tolerate? Yea, I know I should be on puree, but I am the hard headed one!!! I haven't ventured out to foods that will jeopardize my surgery.....but I have dabbled in some soft foods. It has been an adventure, to say the least, to see what I can tolerate and what I can't. Did I say painful adventure? Well if I didn't.....I meant to!

Posted 01-04-2009 at 08:13 PM by LMac0218
Well, here I am. In the world of those seeking support from someone who is walking in their shoes. I am 2 weeks out on Tuesday, Jan 6 2008. My surgery date was Dec. 23, 2008 and I am still trying to adjust to life after Lap Roux-en Y GBS. It has definitely been a journey. I hope that this will be a great place for me to talk to people who are going through some of the same things I am. God Bless my wonderful husband, he tries to help but this is just something he doesn't understand. It has been...
