Throwing up is harder than it sounds.

Posted 10-21-2009 at 04:02 AM by JEveland
I am now 5 days short of being 3 months post-opp. Since my surgery I have had a few times where I have eaten something that gives me a really bad sharp pain in my stomach(usually due to not chewing enough). The first few times I had this sensation the first thing I thought to do was make myself throw up whatever it is I ate. I am not bulimic, but if something you ate is making you hurt it makes sense to have whatever it is come back up(at least to me). Well, to my amazement I can't puke. I get the gag reflex, and a dry vomit. A little saliva and liquid comes up, but no solids. I know my plumping has just gotten a huge redo, but It still makes me wonder. Has anyone else had this problem? Not that I wish to be able to vomit all the time, but will that ever come back?

I'm still new to this. So if this question was posted in a wrong category. I'm sorry.
