File has yet to make it to the insurance company..

Nearly two weeks ago my file was on the desk of the woman in charge of sending it off to the insurance company for approval (or heaven forbid, denial). However, last Thursday I received a call that my Psychiatrist had done the psych eval but hadnt technically cleared me......my sole reason for seeing the Psychiatrist back on July 2nd. I am a bit frustrated because it is a week later and I am getting phone calls from the surgeon's office wondering what the hold up is. I have called the Psychiatrist's office a couple times and was told it was on her desk to be reviewed and that she gets to it when she gets to it. I am furious that I forked over $250 in cash to have this clearance done and she didnt bother to clear me (or not clear me)....she just filled out the psych eval part. I specifically had told them that I needed CLEARANCE for the surgery....ERRR! Anyway, gonna get ready to call the office again a little bit later tonight and see if I can leave a message, without talking to the rude secretary. Hopefully the surgeon's office can submit my file sometime next week.....then the real wait begins!!
