Almost can see the finish line....

Although it has been less than two months since I started this whole process, it has seemed much longer. Between getting up enough courage to tell my Mom that I was interested in getting the Lap Band, to having my consult, then my upper GI series/Gallbladder done, to meeting with a Psychiatrist for the "okay".....it has been a bumpy road. I am still not sure that the Psychiatrist thought I was ready for the surgery, but I will know soon enough. Infact, I will be seeing her again in 3 weeks. I decided to keep seeing her for treatment for my depression.

In the meantime, I have two more appointments on my "to do" list. My nutrition evaluation and my physical so that my PCP will clear me for surgery. A bit worried about both to be honest. I havent always been a healthy eater, but now is as good as a time to start as any, right? Will just have to learn to replace the yummy bad foods with ones that are healthier and taste alright. And as for the PCP, it is a doctor that I just started seeing about 6 months ago. I hope that they have enough information to go on based on 6 months, if not, I will have to return to my hometown and hope that my childhood doctor will give me the "green light." Either way, I am excited to be approaching the "finish line" with this pre-op stuff.

Cant wait til my surgeon submits everything......then the real countdown begins!
