Getting the Dates

For the past two weeks I have been waiting for them to call with the dates and then today they called.....Mar 7 is pre op and Mar 24th is the day. I am scared at how my husband will feel after all this weight comes off. I have been heavy for the past 5 1/2 years and the last time he saw me "healthy" was before we were married. I am alos scared of looking sick. I see a lot of people who have had this surgery (gastric) and they look sick. I just want to be again and look young and not have to wear these old lokking clothes to cover up. I sue to be sexy and vibrant and I know it would do great thing for my marriage and self esteem to feel that way again. That God for Medical intervention.

Congratulations! That's so great that you got your dates. Let me tell you that you are in for quite an adventure. I wish you the very best and good luck! I am 5 months out and down a total of 116 pounds, 81 pounds since surgery...and I couldn't be happier! I really don't think I look sick - in fact I have people tell me every day how amazing I look. I really hope you have as easy a time as I have had. I know not everyone does...but it seems like most people on this board would have this surgery again in a heartbeat. Please keep us updated on your progress!

I just left Target, I picked up a robe and night gown. I could not find any slippers so i will probably check Walmart tomorrow. I tried the premixed Isopure and that is gross. I am going to try the powder next week. I have not heard anything about my pre op test results so I am asuming everything is okay. I am so itching for the 24th. My hubby and I are leaving for Las Vegas the Friday before to spend sometime together and then return on Sunday. Where I will be drinking liquids all day. I have to be at the hospital at 5:45am.....I am just wired and this waiting is killing me.
